Hi Dr Komal. Totally agree with you! If your dream branch is Medicine & not getting that in India, then MRCP is a good option for you! You can earn MRCP degree while pursuing your postgraduation (MD Pharma) in India. But, cracking MRCP is not an easy task. It requires a lot of efforts & commitment! If you are ready for it, then yes you should go for MRCP! 👍

Hi. Have done my MD Anaesthesia from MAMC, Delhi. Then did Fellowship in Critical Care from Apollo hospital. And now currently working as a Consultant & incharge at Neuro ICU, Apollo hospital

There is no as such Fellowship course after MBBS. But yes, we are doing a Critical Care Certificate Course (6months) for those who are working in Apollo, Delhi

Yes, you can write the exam. First of all, it adds a degree to your name (that too from UK). Secondly, as you have to read Medicine for MRCP, you get the to know the differential Diagnosis of different diseases & also the management (which will help you in managing patients in ICU). Thirdly, nowadays it is considered equivalent to MD medicine. You can practice in your OPD or can get associated with corporate hospital as Gen Physician. Fourth, if you want to practice in UK, then it’s a good option & also if you want to go to UAE, then also you go for it. As it carries a lot of importance in UAE. Last is, it depends on you whether you want it or not ☺️
