God bless you. Your great ancestors were Hindus and used to read and hear Ramayan, this is something your blood and soul, which makes you and your family understand it. Muslim or Sikh religion was created recently. I respect both religion as they must be created for some reason to uplift the weaker section of the society.

I'm come here after reading Manoj Muntashir's column in Rasrang of Dainik Bhaskar about explanation of this scene.This is really a great ancient time of our culture.#JayHind🇮🇳

I used to watch Bharat Ek Khoj every Sunday on DD while I was in school during the 1980's. In my home we just had a small 14 inch B/W TV. But the quality of programming back then was Top class.❤❤

The conversation between the two arch-enemies is notable for the reason that in spite of their being enemies, Ram prompts to learn from Ravan. But layman's mind is clouded by ego,anger, short-temperedness , so he could not grasp the significance of that momentous event of the death of a great learned person,who was about to depart in a short time from the world. On the contrary, Ram rose above all the petty things and in a noble manner befitting an Arya,still insisted Laxman and preferred to go to Ravan without malice, rancor,hatred or anger and despite being victorious, bowed before Ravan and requested with folded hands to impart the knowledge. Ram did not hesitate to learn from his enemy . The event has still significance in our times. It is a lesson for us about how we should behave towards our enemies. It is a relevant lesson particular for our politicians and rulers to learn from the episode. There is no point in talking and watching Ramayana if we don't understand tge significance and internalize those values in our day to day interaction.

I can't understand y people r so arrogant and adamant of not learning hindi.especially when a country/society is easy to be divided if there isn't common language.hindi being spoken by max people in india.still people advocate for English but not hindi bcoz of ego.That reminds me of subhash chandra Bose's story that tells y common language/culture is so important."Bose was giving an IAS exam under British rule.the question Britishers asked was"how To prolong British rule on India?Bose kept thinking for the first 15 mins and didn't write anything.examiner came and asked Bose, when u haven't prepared anything,y did u come for such an exam? Everyone is busy writing.u r still sitting idle.bose kept thinking and didn't write anything.time passed.and examiner used to come up and ask the same question every 15 mins.half time passed examiner came again and told Bose to leave as he hadn't written anything by then .and told him even if he starts now he won't crack the exam.but Bose kept thinking and didn't write anything for complete 2.5 hrs.in the last 15-20 mins Bose started writing.and wrote countries like India are very easy to rule.there are people withso many different religions/cultures/ languages in India.just make them fight amongst them on basis of religion language and culture.these people will never unite to fight and u can rule easily.when Britishers saw this idea they jumped with joy and Bose topped that exam . Britishers used Bose's idea later knowned as divide and rule and prolonged their rule on India.when Bose came to know that Britishers are using his idea to rule india he resigned from the job.but this story tells y India needs common language as common religion is not possible.but people especially South Indians prefer ego over country.and politicians use it for vote bank.i still remember karnataka'z ex cm siddaramiah's words"if South Indian states want to separate from india and become a separate country ,i will lead them"such anti nationalism just for language.these idiots don't understand unity is strength, pakistan separated from india and today is a failed state.so will the concept of dravida.

Ram is not god of muslims but still hero of 80s and 90s muslim kids who watched Ramayan with same enthusiasm as was by any Hindu kid… that was beauty of India… Unity on diversity rather than divisions due to uniformity… India under present regime facing dark days

No, India isn't facing any dark days. Lord Ram is universal, same evey Sanatan Dharma gyan/ philosophy is for everyone, The Sanatan sansriti respect everyone.. all this Indian culture and its unity is only because of Sanatan Dharma. We say "Ekam Sat Viprah Bahudha vadanti, sarve bhavantu sukhinah ".... Sanatan Dharma says their many paths to reach the same almighty God.... But sadly there are some cult who don't respect other cultures. Their core philosophy is our religion is the only true religion and our god is the only true God.. This creates the problem, they can't respect other religions . If they would respect others then no conversion is happening toady, no temples would have been demolished...

So for such upper class ppl for whom law and order does not apply...today's India is golden age like Ravan ki Lanka... But for ppl of minority whose entire family killed infront of them, 3year daughter is killed and mother is raped...and such monsters are protected by govt...For all such ppl today's India is definitely dark age...

*@Sharadamma Hemalatha* What Great teachings? This is not a teachings by Ravana... This functional conversation had been added later in Ramayana by distorting the original scriptures. I have read both Valmiki Ramayana and Shri Ram Charit Manas written by Tulsidas ji, of Gita Press Gorakhpur. Ravana dies as soon as an arrow hits him. And uncle ji is telling us the greatness of Ravana. In reality Ravana did not realised anything, he didn't even had the time enough to realise.

@@jaydutta7711 Exactly sir .. all these are just rubbish things that has been added in the authentic scriptures.. these serials are distorting the authenticity and essence of our scriptures and are just turning them into Some sort of Filmy drama .. it's because of these cheap serials only that today people cherish the characters like Ravana and karna even though one was a rapist and a serial killer while other was the sinner of the topmost order .. i respect people like u who knows about the originality of our Scriptures and don't belive on these tv shits ..

I loved this series. Also i never studied history for a day whenever i had an exam of history in BA i watched related episodes of Bharat ek khoj and i was able to pass my exams.
