I know I'm eight years late to reply, but it's a vehicle maintenance area. There's a set of doors on the left side of the prison scene that leads into it as well.

Ive always wondered does this ride end with you in hell...ride over?

Well, according to behind the scenes material, originally the ride was going to end in heaven, but the Imagineers decided hell was more fun, go figure.
