Everything about that giant boss is nightmare fuel. The endless number of eyes that pop out of his sockets, his long tongue that puts Gene Simmons to shame, and the music is unsettling.

05:03: Totally not disturbing when playing this as a kid. I remember this boss so well. Everything about this boss was terrifying. The look on his face, the popping eyes, the music, his tongue, the way he stared at the player all the time... Absolutely nightmarish back then.

@@theotherther1 They sneaky traumatized kids with games like that. Thats why later you have some emotional issues you dont know where they come from. Look at the generations today it comes from the consumtion of these movies and games later combined with a drugs and bad food

I wonder how the giants eye popping graphic scene got past the Super Nintendo censorship which took me by surprise. I'm surprised it slipped past the censorship in 1994 and right before the ESRB rating system came out.

I have to deal with that face EVERYDAY...

The use of scale and rotation for the witch while having a lot of sprites on screen was very impressive for a game that used no accelerator chip.

Super Nintendo is surprisingly powerful, 4 really notable examples are Star Fox and the Donkey Kong Country trilogy, the devs even did the impossible with that trilogy btw.

the use of sprites in Little Clown fight is really cleaver to avoid having a blank background because Mode7 limitations. The only real background element is the clown, all the other elements are sprites, including the ground, clouds and cart.

I love how the 2 bosses before the last boss are more intimidating and scary. Not to mention more difficult than the final boss as well.

I feel like there's some scribbling in the column of half the boss design docs that only says "IF I HAVE TO SUFFER FROM THE NIGHTMARES SO DO YOU" over and over.

Ograoum Papas is my favorite boss. The game, and the theme still takes me back of a good time of my memories💖

The giant is just creepy dropping out all those eyes. Wtf. The. The clown. 😱

That giant boss reminds me of Balore from Castlevania.

The vulture witch in this game looked like a weird mix of the Wicked Queen's old hag disguise from Snow White and the reformed Mizrabel from the end of Castle of Illusion, and Ograoum Papas looks like Balore from Castlevania. Very nice boss run in this game!

Ograoum Papas is still one of the most ridiculous bosses I've ever seen and I love him.

4:12 The nightmares this boss gave me as a small kid. I only had the Gameboy version which was graphically inferior and I'm so glad younger me didn't see this one.

At least this brave little squirrel has the nuts to defeat these enemies. 🥜

I've only ever played the Megadrive version, but I can say for certain that Mr. Blizzard is the hardest boss in the game, all because of that tiny ass slippery platform and the fact if you fall off you die instantly. PAIN

The bosses all look like they were ripped off from other media. The Witch looks like the Snow White witch with a bird nose. And the giant head looks like the one from NES's Zombie Nation, complete with shooting eyes.

A return to a classic video! The original Mr Nutz on genesis is when I first started watching. That was almost 6 whole fucking years ago. Just reminds me of how great you are. A quality player with a quality channel. Thanks for all the great content over the years!

One thing: SNES version is the original game, the Genesis version is the port. Both versions are good, the artstyle and soundtrack are the best.

The first boss looks a bit like Dingodile out of the Crash Bandicoot games mixed with a spider and boss two looks like the Disney Snow White witch mixed with a bird. Strange game.

The ogram papas face look like braun strowman from WWE

Fun fact:This game was going to be named Mr Nuts,but the publisher considered it too vulgar and peyorative,so they remplaced the s with a z. Also the protagonist was originally cuter in the early designs,with a Disney-like design,but the programer Pierre Adame told Phillipe Dessoly(the game artist) to make him more procative and sporty to appeal gamers

Mr. Nutz has some really cool Music my favorite is the clown boss also the Genesis version of this game so inferior to SNES version!

It’s kinda annoying how the squirrel is named after what he eats but mr. spider is named after his species, and mister blizzard is named after a winter storm. I guess mr. fly and mr. human flesh weren’t as good

I never understood that ending, how did a yeti living exclusively in icy mountains recruit a forest spider, a bearded witch, a diminutive octopus, a mutant giant and a circus performer? And how did he convince them that bringing about a new ice age is the best?

Even though it is a dead project, I much prefer the Mushroom Kingdom Fusion version of Ograoum Papas; if nothing else, the sound design of that version of the fight is much improved.

It was an obscure French platformer made by 2 people that received almost no coverage outside of Europe. Disney most likely wasn't aware of the game's existence.

So your Main Villain is a Yeti. a Random Yeti That Attack you for No Reason. I Though Mr. Spider would be a Good Main Villain.
