Headmaster Brian Moores died in 2014 and left behind these remarkable records of the school he loved . The pupils of Queen Street School in Thornaby on Tees are recorded on trips , concerts and sports activities that enhanced the lives of the young people. The films begin in 1961 with a trip to Edinburgh researched on a family holiday his last film at Queen Street shows activities in 1966 when he left including a performance based on Dr Who written and presented by the children themselves. The 8mm films were left to Brian's daughter Rona who has ensured their preservation and wider viewing .
