I enjoyed this special. Monk is such an underrated show and a positive and a negative to this was it felt EXACTLY like another episode of the show. It felt familiar and comfortable. It didn’t really feel like a movie but I really liked being back with these characters and everyone played them like they never left!

Agreed. It really felt like maybe the first episode in a Season 9 that has been delayed for over a decade. The character-driven aspects went over spectacularly for the most part, but the plot-driven aspects fell flat as a pancake.

This is better than the first two and maybe 3 psych movies. I love Andy, and how he knew so many people were asking how Monk is as if fans know and love him as person they know, and it makes a lot of sense he had to say Monk is not ok, he is mentally going downhill. Yes, we had a fun short in 2020, but it was to encourage people, really. Andy brought Covid effects on people down to earth in this. I reached my closest friends when covid hit and found comfort, but Monk would definitely be more depressed without others in his life every day. Dr. Bell scene is so hard for me to think about without shedding a tear. Dr. Bell really addressed what everyone was feeling. Just him saying "I love you" is what we wanted to tell Adrian. He knew what Monk was doing, and he knew his friend was stubborn and would not mention it to him or wanted help. I really would like to see about what goes on with the dog because it didn't go well the first time, lol. I didn't really care about the villain to begin with since press releases, but not because I didn't like the idea only because I wanted to see the cast again! - Luke

Good review, but how can they do any other movies if it's called Mr. Monk's Last Case? What would it be called We Swear This is Really The End This Time lol?

I actually covered this in some of my earlier videos, but yeah. The creator has basically said that he’s got ideas for other installments and that he intends the name as a fake-out.

@@fred_flinstone8 Hmm interesting. Well I hope if Andy Breckman does anymore movies that they're way less depressing than this one was. Also hope it's more of a whodunit like in the earlier seasons of the show.
