After Dark is such a hard song for me. I listened to it on a car ride for 6 hours straight after my heart got broken by my first love about 2 years ago. It’s so weird listening to this song while permanently experiencing all these emotions again. It makes me feel extremely sad but at the same time im happy about it being so beautiful. I just wish i could get over her to listen to this with a happy heart again.

This makes me feel like im on a never ending voyage through space and time, seeing every decision ive ever made and ever choice i never choose. Seeing the roads that couldve been and the roads that are, the bridges between what is my reality and what couldve been reality. The dim hope in the future roads to travel and the bright gates waiting at the end of the tunnel. Reflections on life as a whole and appreciation of simplicity in the smallest moments that are far too fleeting. Thank you for this experience, really needed it today.

This song is never gonna die. I've been listening to it almost every day for what feels like almost a year now

It's December of 2010. It's dark outside, the trailer park street lights and the string lights on my grandma's trailer are all lit, filling the area with a warm golden ambience. It's cold enough to see your breath but not so cold that you're uncomfortable. The air smells crisp and clean and new, and there's fluffy snow falling slowly all around to gently pile ontop of the few inches we already have. I'm standing in the driveway, listening to my family inside and Christmas music from another trailer a few houses down. This is peace.

This song is the feeling of seeing your first snowfall of December as a kid and getting excited because that means Christmas is coming soon

I had my birthday yesterday, only a few of my friends remembered it, most of the people in my surroundings and an organization I was a part of for a long time did not remembered it, I first felt a little bit sad, then got away with it by putting a fake smile on my face. Only my family and 2 best friends of mine made my day.
