Yea a kick with actual force behind it is gonna be a one hit k.o. for the average person... most people aren't prepared for a kick with genuine malicious intent behind it, it's a different level of pain entirely, if not crippling... He also is almost always holding eye contact slowing walking at them, and a lot of people wouldn't be able to react quick enough if they are unsure of whether they are about to talk or not @@kells.au.

Gary seems like an oddball and is sometimes comic relief in the series, but for me when he stepped up to help Ray find an abducted child it affirmed the depth of their friendship and loyalty to each other. For me, Season 2 Episode 09 "Socks Are Important" was the best episode of the entire Series.

People often comment on how dumb Gary was, but forget to realise that Ray brings him on jobs and trusts him with his life. Gary may have perversions, be socially awkward and lacking in formal education, but as we saw in the abduction episode he's a fearless, methodical, stone cold professional when the shit hits the fan. Equal with Ray as my favourite character in the series, as it should be.

I fucking love Garry's character development. He's introduced like some looser who's scared of his own wife, get himself beaten up on a gun deal and is more of a nuisance than a friend. And you wonder why the fuck is Ray even friend's with him. But than he shoot's his wife's brother like it's no big deal to him and present Ray with a Pratchet submashine gun as a compensation for his inconvenience - and you start to thing, yeah, maybe his' not that bad. And in later seasons he's showing fully what he is capable of and you do understand that he is indeed a kind of guy you would really want by your side

Sadly Scott Ryan was completely burned out playing Ray. I remember him saying something like he could never be Ray but he didnt feel like himself anymore. Frankly I'd rather have 3 seasons of brilliance than it pull a Game of Thrones

My younger brother reminds of Ray a lot. He's in his 40s, an ex-enforcer for a gangster, he shaves his head bald, he's the hardest bloke I know, he doesn't hit women and deals swiftly with any bloke who does, and he dotes on his daughter & granddaughter. And he absolutely is not someone you want to see coming after you.

@@westington1 I grew up with guys like that, of all my mates, only 2 of us have not been in Prison. Prison for serious crime. Its obvious to me the other guy is just dreaming by the way he describes his brother.
