many years ago i was at a bar where a dj was playing mostly 70s disco music. we got talking, i looked into his record case, he had Mr Flagio´s vinyl. i asked if he would play it. what happened next was unbelievable. a half empty bar with no dancefloor was suddenly filled to the brim with people, dancing between tables, on the tables... it was magic, it was like lsd

rikim2001 I don't believe they are that much considered as progressive. On the contrary they pay tribute to all that era and they are more into a "return to the roots"...

What's sad is that enough time has passed for them to appear to today's 20-somethings as "retro progressive", if that makes any sense (when in fact, they are nostalgic, rather than truly electro-progressives). There are a few guys (like Alexander Bobrov) here on KZread who are truly progressive synth oriented, while keeping to the spirit of whatever synth genre their song is inspired by.

Irre, das Ding ist 40 Jahre alt. Ich erinnere mich an einen Italienurlaub mit meinen Eltern und diese Musik in der Hotelbar. Alle haben angefangen zu tanzen. Tolle Erinnerung.
This song is amazing. I can't believe this is 80s. Feels like this could be a hit today.

Greetings from Canada, as well. Not everybody jams to this tune - only those with taste. People are sheep (and many other things), so I hope you're still grooving two years later;)

Im 49 years now and after 36 years i still get goosbumbs.
I was looking for this song perhaps for ten or more years and finally found it! I couldn't find it because I didn't remember a single word, only the melody. Damn I'm so happy!
I'm 50 & I am pretty sure I have never heard this before. I thought, wow this song is awesome. I had to read the comments to find out it is a classic. I blame DJs.
Never ever stopped listening to this. It's in my top 3 most listened songs in Spotify ever.

Italo disco - also Oberheim DMX and Emu Drumulator (1983 onwards)
i love this track, i agree italodisco and italodance tracks were ahead of their time, which is why they will never be out of date and always in fashion

That´s true... but for me the really end was at the end of 1984. But there are also some hidden gems after this period. You know, ITALO DISCO is an endless exploration. ;)

Un capolavoro nato a Genova. Flavio Vidulich e Giorgio Bacco prodotti da Aldo De Scalzi. Uno dei più bei pezzi della Italo Disco
This song makes my love for ITALO Disco grow! What a track, those synths and the vocals, it's magical! Saw I-F rocking this track in one of his dj sets.LOVE LOVE LOVE!

You lucky son of a gun. ❤
avevo 14 anni e avevo già cominciato ad armeggiare con dei piatti tecnhics e questi vinili, musica di nicchia che mi è rimasta nel sangue insieme agli altri grandi successi degli anni 80 più conosciuti
One of the cuts that made me fall madly in love with Italo Disco back in the late 90's. Still love and spin this stuff as much as possible,
Simply one of the best tracks ever.
wie das 30 jahre spaeter immer noch abgeht! beste!
The sound of the future that never was.
One of my all time Italo Disco favorites. I'll never get tired playing this. I have the german "ZYX Records" pressing from 1983 of this in my collection. Same tracklisting as on the original "Squish" release.
Uncreadable good song! the best of the best!! Timeless!! i never get to much of this sound!

No doubt, the top 5 italo disco best tracks ever made !! - amazing and timeless electro classic - further called as synthwave
I'm glad i grew in this age, cause i feel sorry for todays kids. There music sux.
Daft punk makes this kind of music these days and they are considered progressive. And this is from 1983. Italo was ahead of time in so many aspects.
@TheLetthereberock

rikim2001 I don't believe they are that much considered as progressive. On the contrary they pay tribute to all that era and they are more into a "return to the roots"...
@tungt88

Italians never let disco die :3
Possibly the best song ever recorded in the history of "rock". Fully-deserving of its 5 million views.
I started up my 1979 rx7 put this song on with a bad boy cassette playlist and went on a 3am night drive through the canyons of the Rocky Mountains till the sun came up. I’m 28 I have no idea how epic it felt to be there when this was new but I can say I came home a happy man at 10am.
My brother introduced me to this in lockdown... Thanks, Wayne 😁😘
Seeing photos of the original vinyl gives me the shivers. It's a bygone era but the music lives on. Thank God!

I loved dancing to this song
I had no idea the song was that old! God damn! Sounds as fresh as it was made yesterday
As I listen to this on the eve of the year 2019 it occurs to me that we are only truly constrained by ourselves and Italian disco greatly inspired Daft Punk. All love.

One of the better italo tracks. This is one of the first records that introduced me to the italo scene! Besides the quality the sound is still fresh these days. Happy to OWN this one on Squish records.
pinnacle of Italo
Take a Chance People... This song is poppin when bumpin loud in the car... Lake Shore Drive Chicago baby... Old skool will never die...
