Mr Drains #23 - Blocked Drain A Long Way From The Road
To just see the drain unblocking parts fast forward to: 2:20 & 13:50
Blocked sewer drain at the back of a house down a long walk.
I chose to use the flex shaft first as if it had cleared the drain, it would have been fast. I ran about 9m (30 feet approximately) into the line & it did not clear so then chose to jet the line.
The jet cleared the line quickly at under the 9m (30 feet) I had gone to using the flex shaft & in hindsight I think the blockage was so chunky & thick it closed around the shaft. If I had run the flex shaft back in & out two or three times I think the drain would have cleared without having to jet.

That’s an absolutely beautiful neighbourhood.....but I imagine it’s not one to live in if you’ve got arthritis! The building and plot location / design is intriguing, I’m sure there is town planning but it’s confusing to look at! You have an awesome way with dogs too 😊

Yes, absolutely no fun walking up & down those hills with arthritis. I don't think he would have bitten, but I don't like going onto other properties without the owners permission unless its essential & he wasn't keen. The town planning was initially done in England & we have a few interesting streets.
We have CORN people!!!

Been watching the videos I've missed to get the voice of my favorite Kiwi! Are there ANY flat spots at all in New Zealand?
You said ground up eggshells in the drain, so you must have garbage disposal sinks then? There was a brief fad in the U.K. for them, until people got the message they’re generally a bad idea. I’m not sure whether the EU legislated either against them.

They are still semi popular over here & I often have to remind people to avoid egg shells.

Better putting them 8n the garden to keep the snails, slugs and snakes at bay.
Hmmm metric started in school way back in about ohhh standard 1 or 2 from memory which would have been in the later 60s. Surely you learnt it too. Imperials just don't work for most of the population these days unless you are american.
