MQ-9 Reaper's First Flight at PAX River

There’s a new weapon in the arsenal for the Navy at Patuxent River Naval Air Station. The MQ-9 Reaper recently completed its first successful test flight, thanks to a dedicated crew from Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division. Take a look and see some of the work that made it happen.

    Odd to see drones there now… we use to to the drones down at the point in the late 80s… we called them large RC back then.

    I think that we need to create a whole battalion of U.S reaper drones or just make a whole lot of drones like this that constantly patrol our Airways. We also need to create even bigger drones that can carry heavier ordinances so we dont have to risk sending our aircraft over hostile territory with risk of losing a piliot. We obviously need heavier air coverage on our own airways especially with the damn balloons and the secret Chinese drone that border patrol chased down to Mexico and lost it because they were using a helicopter against a faster enemy over our own lands.
