Canadian's were content to sit still after watching David Lametti arrogantly tell them at the Rouleau EA inquiry that because of bogus "client solicitor privilege" he wouldn't divulge what he told the government. Seems to me Canadian's pay his wages and we are the "client."

Telford's stonewalling will be very useful in convincing Canadian's that there is no alternative to a Public Inquiry to get the answers that they are entitled to.

The problem is that they need to be careful what information is made public when it comes to CSIS and intelligence gathering because while you and others don't care about the people who gathered that information matters and the information could be used to attack Canada. So if they do a public inquiry then the people who have access to the information need to be trusted and much of it likely can't be made public to you and me. CSIS didn't even want people to know they existed for a long time because of the sensitive nature of the work they do.

I can't refuse to answer questions at work then why can they? I am not being called upon for such serious matters. Why are we allowing this ? Why are there no criminal charges? Why no suspensions without pay until the investigation is completed? Why all these secrets if one has done nothing wrong there is nothing to be afraid of?

Even in a bipartisan conversation about a very serious topic that cuts at the heart of our democracy, all these politicians still sound like their primary objective is to sell their parties like a used car salesman, especially that member of the NDP. What a sad state our politics are in.
