Do you know a site like MPC fill for Lord of the Rings images? I am having trouble printing "copyrighted" screenshots of the movies on the cards. I've thought about making the pictures cartoony like Scanner Darkly movie, but not sure if thats enough?

Can you give me a tip on how to prevent the edges from getting chopped off by the bleed line "red dotted line" when you are making the cards on their site? I'm trying to figure out how much bigger to make the card to fit

You have to add a 1/8 inch margin to the cards otherwise they will always get chopped off. We have a tutorial video on the channel for making cards, check it out! It will give you everything you need to know.

@@thecommanderduo Thank you. On some subreddits I am learning of software I can use. I need to convert all my 319 unique cards into a program that can align everything. And choose whether to use Photoshop or InDesign or something else. I tried this one site, cardconjurer, but it has a disclaimer/wizards text on the bottom, which I would need to remove since I am NOT making MTG cards, only my own custom game

That wrath of god at 1:30 has a black textbox with foil text.. did you upload a whole picture or auto fill has it to choose from? I want to use that black text box look for a card it looks amazing!!!

Good video! How strict are they in copyright? Not sure if you’re aware of what Multiversus is but it’s a fighting game and they have cards for there fighters in game. I have artwork made of a adult swim character in the style of the games art style and want to make my own playing card physically with the character I had drawn. Would that be cool?

Have you tried doing non foil cards but with foiled edges in silver, gold, or holographic? I think that'd look pretty sick too!

Are you referring to the "gilt edge" foil? If so, I have not mainly because it simply adds a thin foil line on the side of the cards. With Magic, you wouldn't ever really see this unless your cards are unsleeved. As for the new cold spot foiling its a very time intrusive process to apply that foil onto cards. You essentially have to use a program to manually have it apply to the cards image and could take a veryyyyy long time haha.

@@thecommanderduo Thanks for the explanation! For the new cold spot foiling, it also says "The foiled side(s) will not have color printing", so unfortunately it wouldn't work Magic too :/

It makes me wonder if increasing the brightness in the mpc creator would curb the dark foil issue. Thanks for posting the vid.

@@gaugea this didn’t help I tried it in the newest video showing the cards I set one card to 4 levels of brightness and it’s still dark.

@@gaugea brightness adjustments will work if done enough, but if you adjust levels (photoshop), definitely will turn out better. I've done it a few times!

Still do the custom playing card option. If the size of the card is the same as well you essentially create it the exact same way just with your different CCG.

I don’t understand and maybe you can help me out. Is there a template if the cards and you import art? Are there cards I can just go in put say card name and it brings up different cards or arts of a card? I click on one I want? I’m looking to build an entire cube but I’m lazy and want to just click on pre existing card formats and art lol.

Some of these were downloaded from mpcfill and a lot of the time people don’t remove them or they add them for whatever reason. So when they print they’re not actual authenticity ovals. When I make my custom alters they do not have these.

Hey just a quick explanation for why they're darker, its because they print directly to the holographic surface without first doing a white sub-layer like MTG and Pokemon card manufacturers do to separate the subjects and non-holo areas from the background. If a white sub-layer isn't printed before the ink/toner, the colors will not be the same as they were on a computer monitor, they will be darker and desaturated based on the brightness value of the holographic foil beneath.

If you add text to the front or back of the card that says custom proxy-not for sale. You should be fine :)

How do I remove the black edges from the images I download from MPCfill? I live in Brazil, there is no way to place an order here. I wanted to download the images there because it is the best site with the best quality. But when I download the image it appears smaller and with a black border.

Yes, i personally don't like the foils though, they just add a layer over the card and it darkens it quite a bit.

Do you have any idea whether or not they ship to Australia?

Their website says they do but I checked the price and the shipping is pretty expensive. Depends on your budget though.

@@Ultinuc I looked again and its not actually so bad. I think shipping was around $26 AUD and 108 regular cards was around $50. Closer to $100 if you get the cards foil.

@@Ultinuc I think it is a bit cheaper to buy fewer cards. I'm in Aus as well so I was also researching for myself. I ended up paying like $73 for 108 non foil cards, including delivery. Might take a month or two for them to arrive but it's worth a try to see what they're like I guess.

How much did they cost?

It's the best way to go, do non foil. looks better and is way cheaper. 40 bucks for a full deck!
