Big props bro for all you're doing. Definitely appreciated, especially with the lack of content for the AKAI Software. Would love to see a follow up video (maybe an advanced version) talking about how to properly use all the routing options in the AKAI software. How to use things like the Submixes, Returns, Midi Sends, ect? I'm new to producing and mixing but I'm loving the journey so far. So thanks for the help my guy 🙌

For gain staging in the daw I usually go into program edit and adjust the level of each pad instead of messing with the faders!

Sounds like the right way to do it. Your method was used by analoge faders who were exponential, so the lower u go the less accurate u could adjust. I checked and looks like the fader of the mpc beats are exponential too. Only with less curve, So using faders is less punishing. I orded a mpc live II, and looking into the OS now. I wondered, can u use the standard effects and plugins in standalone? ( I saw myself using serum on a bench in the park. But after some research it appears it was just a dream. )

I’m loving this DAW so far been learning new stuff everyday from your vids and streams. When ever you make another mixing video can you show how you set up sidechains for the kick and 808? I know you could automate the volume of the 808 to duck when the kick hits but I just want to know if there’s an easier way like using the fruity limiter in FL

Don't forget you can use MPC beats as a VST in your DAW ! I will totally use it in Renoise when I will be more used to Beats workflow so I will pads my drums instead on tracking it step by steps ! :)

Hey how can i use the xyfx in certain parts of my beats like i may want it in my intro and then cut the xyfx effect off when the beat drops

Go to the settings in the top left corner. You'll find something that says "bounce to audio sample." When you do that, it'll convert that sequence with all the effects into your "samples". Make sure you know where you save your sample, then add it to your drums track and put it on there just like any hi-hat or kick. May have to adjust the sound some after you convert it. Hope that helps 🙏

Hi,do you know how to use different plugins in each sequence? If l use it for seq 1 it will work for rest of sequences...thats bad...

The thing is, i want to mix vocals, but for that i need mor then 4 vsts, is there a way for that? Do i have to put it on a seperate submix and add more there?

Just sharing a thought back when I considered buying a mpc 1 I didn't for a few different reasons 1 was because I didn't think you could use 3rd party vst plugins with the hardware?? So now that I see it is possible to use 3rd party vst's with the desktop version in the daw it is more interesting to know I know this is off subject and not the topic of this video still tho I thought it was wroth mentioning

MPC is way more versatile than I ever thought it would be for a free DAW. With a little effort digging thru the mixing, you can get some real quality sound from it.

why is that panning in MPC beats doesn't feel like in other DAWs? like in reaper for instance

What if all drum tracks are one track and you want to separate them. I had this problem with a program that I loaded up

when you export the beat choose "explode tracks" and it will separate everything.. You can explode your drum tracks too w/o exporting them.

How are your sounds separated on each track but in mine all of my sounds are in one program, is there a way to link those sounds to the mixing board

If havent figured this out lol hit the pad mixer button and you will see A01 A02 all the way to A16 for each sound on your 16 PADS if it goes into BANK B or C the related BANK letter well be chnaged, the pad mixer button is located in the lower left screen from the MAIN window, if in mixer window located dead center on top, Cheers

make sure that you check all of your folders... Example, my download ticket was in my promotion tab in my gmail account.. It took me an hour to get the download due to heavy traffic.

I am having a hard time trying to get it to read my sample collection to no avail. I also cannot get my mk mini to work but my mpd does so good enough.

Have you tried going into your computers files? I've got some I need to clear out also. I'll try it and then edit based on what I find.

you only get 10 tracks and less file transfer compatibility (example I tried to move my MPC software progressions over to the MPC beats software but can't find the folder).

The Beat is Not that Trash The melody Sound Just doesnt already have the vibe No Background laid chord , and No voice Sample in IT ITS Not filled ITS rare and empty No produced music IS trash ITS Just that IT IS Not produced to the full Potential And some music IS Not usefull for Rap or Pop but maybe for Film commercials or Games Till today i dont understand that some people judge music they was they do If you Change Sounds or add Things IT will get to ITS best Point The other Point is to Mix the Sounds and Instruments with effects and Other stuff that IT will Sound Natural full and good Or that IT will Sound Abstract Sometimes These melodies Just get a small Part or living in the Background Till ITS their solo ne Sometimes These melodies hast to be reduced Because during production they Dont have This First inspirstional Position anymore Music IS creating layers of different acting Instruments And thats Just ideas apoearing , and has to Work with each Other I also have Projects beeing dead at some Point , but they are Just dead because i didnt fiundca Sound to add or a solution When the day comes and listen This Project IT will Level Up I liked the melody IT reminds me a Bit If Ghost and gobblins ( Computer Game ) Less rythm and Percussion some Background that fits and DARK Elements and This Beat is good to be played in the Background of szenes or advertisement I Love music And i say Put some Love Into IT and adjustments and ITS a cool Beat The Instruments and Sound Just Dont interact right yet If they do find the right place andcspace you will See
