That uncovering of Cherubino is so simple and yet seems to get a big laugh in every production I've ever seen. Watching this makes me think that a good bit of staging might have been for Cherubino to have covered his face with his WIG so that when the Count pulls off the sheet, we see a white wig smushed into the poor kids face in a pathetic attempt to hide himself.

Wenn ich Susanna oder die Gräfin wäre, wäre die mein Beuteobjekt.auch wenn ich niemals die Einzige wäre. Eros kommt halt vor Verstand. Mozart und Da Ponte wussten das!!! In allen seiner drei 'grossen" Opern lässt er es uns spüren, hören und fühlen!!!

E come sempre la Damrau è perfetta!

Amazing how the orchestra all plays together and still look at the conductor. I wonder how you learn to become a conductor. Do they have to practice, read music, have a good ear for music. So clever. Bravo.

Lacks the tenderness of the Glyndebourne Finley/Hagley recitation. Technically superb, although totally without any feeling!

@@ranierochelli9139 . I am not an expert but it seems that the language in this opera is somewhat different from modern standard Italian. For example it has "servir" instead of "servire".

Raniero Chelli Haz sido muy amable en contestar,amo a Italia su riqueza artística y cultural es impactante siempre vuelvo a ella porque ahí hay algo sustancial irreductible del ser humano que nos emociona profundamente y nos hace reflexionar pero volviendo a lo nuestro las operas ,como cualquier manifestación intelectual o artística deberían entonces estar subtitulada a los idiomas que llega internet pero con traducciones muy cuidadas eso seria un avance del servicio de internet mis saludos opino de chile

Bartolo is Maurizio MU-RA-RO and not MU-RA-NO !

Cherubino's interpretaion/voice is not my favorite I have to say. Generally speaking I hear far too much vibrato, making it sound like a Romantic opera...

Ilde has a good voice but is working too hard.

I wanna be the dude thumpin the drum :)

What a pity singers need to check out so much the conductor.....regie theater bimbi!!! I cant see Streheler in th acting I m sorry.
