A clarinet tone character is very hard to describe in words like the taste of a wine. I just liked Mr. Yokokawa's stone and his interpretation.

I remember watching this TV broadcast when I was a high school student. I took a VHS recording of this and watched it over and over again. Back then I didn't know the standard, and I just knew YoYo Ma has a reputation. I wanted to learn how to play the cello by watching him. Now, nearly 30 years later, I can appreciate how good this ensemble really is. And how rich emotions, Ma's cello is conveying. Cello is definitely not the main thing in this music, but his cello part is so juicy and so good. In an interview on the same show, Ma explained a Japanese concept he just learned about, called "Mono-no Aware." The Japanese can get what it means, but it's very hard to explain. In Ma's account, as far as I remember, the concept was about the mixture of opposing emotions caused by beauty. He explained that this music by Mozart is very happy and lovely for many people, but there are moments when it shows deep sadness. To give us an example, I think he mentioned that this tune was used in the funeral of Pablo Casals (I hope I'm not making this up).

My very first introduction to the clarinet to which I sub- consciously added the two additional letters to thus making the instrument feminine presumably. I vainly attempted to play said instrument , but despite battling away for a year or so all I really achieved was sore lips and as it was happening at a co-ed friends boarding school, I decided to achieve this outcome a more tasty way ..... This is sublime music-making hope you enjoy such ravishing music at the start of a very interesting new year

THEODORE WOROZBYT. It appears that the word 'song' has changed its meaning to mean 'a piece of music' rather than something that is sung. Maybe because computer music playing software refer to individual parts of a music album as songs. After all, pop music consists almost entirely of songs - i. e. most pop music is sung.

Pamela Frank, she didn't look Japanese or Asian to me, but maybe I am wrong. I give them credit 35 minutes of sitting in a chair, nothing to drink, can't move. thats tough I think. I noticed when the woman on the end, I assume Pamela Frank, when she gets up you can tell she is stiff a little and that's understandable. Great playing of this classic song.
