Awesome seeing you do a Lolly review. The plates are nylon, not plastic. This is an important distinction since plastic plates are prone to breaking.

Even though I'm not into quads I still found this interesting cuz I'm a bit of skate nerd! I think like impala these guys have cracked the aesthetics that a lot of people like nowadays.

@@subliminalgoat they're pretty good skates for casual use, the only thing that would be worth changing if you get them is the wheels especially if you're planning to skate to work. Good wheels can easily cost £80 for 8, so it might be worth getting a slightly higher quality skate that comes with better wheels - I'm not sure how much the Impalas cost so I can't say for sure what would work out better. You see they come with soft and not very good wheels that will feel a bit slow and not last particularly long.

@@chilli-iceolive-abode2447 what brand skates do you recommend for me that isnt too expensive but comes perfect out the box. I was looking at the sure grip fames. but they are sold out on their website and the prices are kinda steep but everyone says they are the best overall. what do you think tho? im new to the skating scene

@@subliminalgoat I bought Impala's. I ended up despising them. I used them twice and never used them again. They are really stiff, heavy and uncomfortable. It feels like carrying two dumbells on your feet, except the wheel is so hard that you're just slipping and sliding. I fell so many times because they aren't suitable for outdoors and I bought them during covid, so I couldn't take them to a skate rink. I really recommend of lolly outdoor complete, because those are specifically designed for comfortable use outdoors. They're $370 but it's honestly worth the investment. Impalas are also known to visible wear and tear within two months and they don't last as long.

@@bunbuncaitlyn are the lollys also good for indoors (rink)? I will start skating outside and one day maybe go to a rink. I'm wondering if they may not be too flexible for indoors?

I love these skates. I am in my 50's and my daughter and I both own these. They are so comfortable and look great too.

Hi, nice video!! Do you dance skate? I'm at size 9 womens and sometimes an 8 1/2 wide , what size do you think I should get please? I was thinking about beach bunnies or these, but I want the safest for dance skating

I just bought Crazy skate evokes because I couldn't get the lollies....I love them. Same wheels sam suede boot 100 dollars cheaper but they are super comfortable.

I love my Evokes & BTFL Tony skates. They’re both super comfy. I was finally able to get my hands on a pair of Lollys, and they arrived today missing a cushion! I’m waiting to hear back from Moxi, but I’m confident they will make things right. The boot is definitely A LOT stiffer than my other skates, but it’s still not as stiff as the Panthers. I sent those back the same day I got them. LOL

You can tighten them ans still have the free spin- you should tighten them UNTIL they don’t click

I can be a matter of preference for people who don't use their toe stops much. People who use their toe stops tightening them is important to do.

Moxie lolli skates are my dream but they are so expensive that’s like almost all the money I have.

My old school leather skate boots about 50 years old have a thick leather outer sole

is it fiber glass?

I have these exact skates in this color, but I find them very uncomfortable. I’ve been skating in them for months and changed the soles out but my soles begin to hurt after 20m. I think I’ll buy a different pair. I don’t think these were made for me.

Moxi have made a 2021 version which are £50 more expensive!! They’re also making the gummy wheels slightly narrower

The Moxi website has done a re-stock. I ordered a pair of the 2021 model, and it was $50 less than the 2020 model which I thought was odd. I wasn’t mad at ‘em for it tho! LOL

If my normal size of foot is 39,5 in Europe- should I go for 8 number or 9 is better so that I dont feel them.very tight?

Best is measure your feet on the paper in centimetres. Moxi 8 is 25.6cm which is Eu 39-40. Moxi 9 is 26.4cm, Eu 40-41.

If you don’t wanna lose toe stop get a longer toe stop

No!! They are narrow made and not recommend for wide feet. Suregrip boardwalks are a very similar wide made skate.

I need to know about the size ? How do i know i’m buying the right size?

Not sure why they even differentiate with men an women’s shoe size if u are a female an u know u wear a size 7 in men’s why can’t their hair be a universal size? So odd to me.

I'm a men's size 10 2e ... I found a pair of these size 10 but they said that's women's. How can I tell the difference? Would you know by chance what size I would need for mens which name and brand?

Beware the axles are not long when you change wheels. They only work with moxi wheels

This is not true. I finally got my Moxies and replaced the wheels with Radar Energy wheels and I use my All American Plus wheels for indoor skating

Nope, I’ve used Suregrip fames and Atom Pulses on mine. Don’t know what you bought, but I have never known anyone else to have this issue, so guessing you got some odd wheels.

I have heard that metal is better than plastic or nylon, which would make sense anyways..I mean, if you want them to last.

I think the issue with plastic plates is wearing away of the plate via front wear the toe stop is screw in. You can’t replace plastic parts on the plate. You would have to purchase anew plate. Not so much of a issue for skates that are hobbyists or dance skaters.

I have skates with aluminum plates and one's with nylon. I personally prefer the Nylon plate more because it's lighter. I only trail and rink skate tho.

The Jack boots have metal plates Ricardo, Lolly's never had metal plates :)

No they Lollys used to be sold with a metal plate, you can still find pictures of the older line of Lollys with them.

Yeah they go up into mens sizes, but beware the moxi skates are usually for narrow feet. If you can print off a pdf of the sizing guide to put against your foot you'll get the best idea of whether it'll fit. Otherwise go by width vs length sizing guides, not by shoe number sizing ("size 10" "size 40 EU" etc)

All skates are for both genders, but if your looking for chunkier skates in a "manly" color, then the Impala black skates are ur best bet. Make sure to read size guidelines tho to find the correct size. OR you can get customized skates made in any shoes you want, but your losing a lot of cushion that pre-made roller skates come with.

Are moxi roller skates for boys

I'm in the US....what skates do they make for men? If I wore these skates there will be problems.

Yes it is. Nylon is a type of plastic, albeit a strong plastic.
