Just think, Phil, if you put your head to it and get it done, it's 4 to 5 fields that you can cut silage on, plus that takes the pressure of ye if ye want to put cattle in early, ye have extra silage ,plus ye have ground ye can graze and cut silage, to me it's a win win situation plus you'll only be 36 which is young

Great way to get an extra bit of fodder, and to clean up the paddocks to encourage fresh grass for the cattle. Would you consider bringing the digger down to lift the stones Phil rather than covering them up? Love to hear your plan for the future, best of luck it 🍀

Identify your big stones, dig a massive hole around them, then push them into the hole and cover it over why draw clay to bury them the dry spells would probably cause them to reappear after a few years

@FARMERPHIL3690 Well ye have the gear to draw stuff to em. I've buried heaps of stones in the last few years. Some if em were bigger than cars, 21 tonne machine was under pressure. You'd think burying would be the quickest way. You'd still be talking the bones of 2 hours per stones by the time the place is leveled out and everything. The fastest tidiest way of doing em is a rock breaker. Take 3 or feet of it. Drop ½ a load of topsoil. Hardly any damage done and you've left the stone in the ground which is good for drainage and warming the soil in cold weather.
