perhaps another pipeline for this sort of use-case is Character Creator / I-Clone, which has some good tools for speech animation and also gives you unlimited ability to animate 3d characters with the added benefit of multiple cameras, lighting, etc. - more work, more up-front cost, but a consideration for some use cases.

I don't think this app is there yet. The animations of the default avatars are off, for example the mouths move but the face is static. The generated audio sounds halting with unnatural pauses.

It would be interesting if you made a video that combines all of these AI tools into one thing. Text AI writes the script, this AI provides the video, the images are AI generated, and the audio is AI generated. Throw them all together and you would have a genuinely AI generated video

This is Synthesia+, but cheaper and with free features, but the pro feature looks great. Now you need to train Descript with your voice, make this speak with your trained voice and all videos can be made on the text basis and still represent you.

it can't train the speech in the Pro version to use your own voice yet... but there are open source API's to do that that could be integrated. Be great for Comedy creators haha

I’m low-key enamored by the AI avatar they call MatVidPro. Whoever created you was genius man. And I rely on you like Jarvis to help me keep up on this stuff so I probably owe you a mansion or something man, as soon as I become Iron Man or an Avenger.

Can you only do text 2 speech audio or could you as well also upload a recorded audio file and have the avatar speaking with this as a basis for the lips movement? Thanks

Create a new test channel, but a artificial version of you taking about all important general news of the day. It's a interest project to see how people would react. People that know little about AI would not even know. It can grow a lot

doesn't really work on account of people being familiar with his voice and face. Possible when we've solved that, and at that point, there isn't any reason to A/B test people's perception

Great channel, loving the content. Is there a website that utilizes these new chatbots, with avatars, that I could actually have a live chat with?

While really cool and it's awesome that there is a free tier the pricing seems rather expensive to make content for a KZread channel on a regular basis. An occasional video like a channel intro or a short 10 minute video sure. But too much money to use daily or on a regular basis. I get that creating AI video is processor expensive and they need to charge for it. Still doesn't change the fact that it's too much money for most creators. And the ones who can afford it probably don't really need such a service.

Hey Matt, can I use a picture of a person smiling in order to create a speaking avatar? Obviously, the mouth is stretched a little bit and the teeth are showing. It's the only pic of the person I have to work with. Is it workable?

How is the mouth movement/syncing when you upload your own voice vs entering text?

so i just spent 8 hrs trying to use this website. been waiting 6 hours for customer service. so far i have heard nothing more than "thank you for being patient, our engineers are on it". all my videos stop at 99% ready. i havent produced one thing all day.

I just wanted to update that i did end up getting help, and the product is awesome. I did buy a subscription. The customer service is not the best. Minimal staff, language barrier. BUT if you join the discord, they reply to you within a week or so. lol

The pricing works for very small projects but if you're producing at least 10 five minute videos a day, it's just cheaper and better to hire real humans. They need to make it at least 10 times cheaper for it to make sense.
