You could have the argument about the US in both ways too. There are some parts of the US that are up and coming. The states that were once considered great, are imploding on themself because of some real stupid policies. And you have a state that has already bit the dust, will head towards communal instability. And hence forth. The point I am trying to make is that, every country has its positive things and shortcomings. People just choose the ones that suit their purpose at the given moment.
