Remember when the Midtown and Downtown tunnels didn't have a toll? The good old days.

I know that this is an informative and well made video because of how much anxiety it gave me. And pro tip, if Google maps tells you to take ocean view to bypass the traffic at HRBT do not do that it's a dirty trick.

Hate the tunnels!

If I'm stuck in a tunnel for for an hour knowing all that water is abave me you are going to hear me freak out with fear..lol.😯😣😖

Hahaaha, when I drive through them I do picture myself darting through water. Or I just hold my breath. Or I just drive through. 😀

great points on budgeting for tolls with regards to budgeting for a home-- sooooo many tolls . Slow downs are a killer for me !

Agreed! And that's partly why real estate on one side of the tunnel is a little cheaper. People accounting for the daily commute bill/time.

I guess if you want to live near water / peninsulas / inlets/ etc, you've gotta get used to tunnels and bridges! This is something people don't usually think about beforehand! Good info!

Ever drive through the HRBT when the ceiling washing truck is there. Really cool, as long as you're in the passing lane 😄 You need to change your thumbnail to a somber look 😆

I had a bill come in the mail, I paid it by money order. But the bills kept coming and so did the added late fees. By last count my 13 dollar toll turned into 2,300.00. Yet they cashed my money order. I was so pissed with the back and forth that I left Virginia and refused to pay for this scam. I am one of thousands who went thru the same thing. Oh and I didn’t pay them 1 fucking cent, and no one came for me.

It's mostly annoying only if you live on one side of them and have to drive through every day.
