I just started watching this is where my kid loves and wants to be.. Sadly, however I had to take her out of Scottsdale Pima traditional because the kids they bullied her because she’s autistic. She’s different of the good kind though she’s bright she’s funny and she’s full of life while she was.. the teacher did nothing but enhancing by addressing it to each other face-to-face. That’s the wrong way to do it.. this year online school She finally thrived, but wants friends to be accepting of her as she should have so neighborhoods are important to Me as well as things that she would like that would fit metoo.. You’re doing a great job. Kudos to you. ..

I think that Kierland and that general area also has better parking than Old Town Scottsdale. Both are great places to visit, but I prefer living in my part of the North Central Phoenix Corridor - which might not have the famous cache of Scottsdale and is definitely closer to some very high crime areas, but it has many wonderful little wealthy neighborhoods with a charming patina that can only come with age, some really great restaurants, and arguably the most polite, friendly, and gracious people in the Valley! Different strokes for different folks, as they say. North Scottsdale and Old Town certainly have their plusses - and they are a lot farther from the rif-raf. 😁

Coming from someone who lives in Scottsdale, McCormick Ranch to be exact (ALSO very not happy w/ the TWO HOA’s we have here hence why we are moving), I can say I wasn’t very happy with having to pay the SAME price in Queen Creek for literally the exact same house on the exact same amount of land as we were going to have to pay up in NE Scottsdale right by Troon or I guess some would say ‘Rio Verde’ if it’s well water, which I’d have to disagree with, there are homes & lots tech & literally IN Scottsdale still, like right there by Troon, that are on well water. Getting water trucked in & having your own well are also two diff things unless your well runs dry, lol. But yes, getting too far east, does bring you to Rio verde which I’m of the opinion, if it’s close enough to the Scottsdale limits & you can get water without having to pay to truck it in, that’s actually still a really nice, really great area to life that’s still getting slightly better pricing than other spots where you’d get nice new builds on bigger chunks of land. I mean, to be fair, we’re still having to have a well in QC & my mom has one in Peoria, so that’s not uncommon anywhere you’re getting these 1+ acre lots regardless of where you are in AZ as most these lots are going to be a bit further out of the inner city limit areas since that’s all been built in already & parceled out into these shitty little over priced master planned HOA communities.. && actually, b/c of the timing of the markets, the one by Troon was actually cheaper at around $899 about a year or two ago, whereas the one down here in QC was at 1.3million about 6 months ago, has gone up in price significantly since then every couple of weeks, & will still probably have costed us closer to $2-2.3 million by the time all is said & done w/ pool & landscaping we still also have to pay for (not mentioning the upgrades or customizations we have to go inefficiently adding AFTER the fact b/c everyone refuses to build custom these days on anything less than like freakin 3 mill)… Personally I’m pretty angry we’re having to go out to Queen Creek just to be able to have our own damn land actually BE our own damn land w/o some HOA && a bunch of whiny neighbors all up in our business constantly complaining about every last little thing, like so much as putting patio lighting on your patio home, or listening to a tiny little Akex’s speaker in your backyard by the pool on a Saturday afternoon/evening… I REALLY wanted to be over by Troon as I’ve personally never been happier than I have been living here in Scottsdale.

I grew up spending most of my childhood years in Gilbert, many of my friends from the Queen Creek or other surrounding areas like Mesa, QC, Chandler, etc.. San Tan didn’t used to be there as we moved out here in like ‘96 when Gilbert was like, the nothing town, lol… Personally, I had really negative experiences w/ living in the east valley when I got older & moved out on my own. East valley In general was WAY too many Karen-moms w/ their 8 kids for me… Very mormonesque / conservative… && hey, I don’t mind conservative values, I have some pretty conservative values myself & have def been voting Trump over Biden lol, but in my own opinion, the real live n let live conservatives won’t be found in these cookie cutter birdhouse homes all lined up against each other in the heart of Gilbert or the master planned communities of farmtopia or whatever that neighborhood is called, or Seville neighborhoods that have been out in QC for awhile now (most of these having gone up in the early 2000’s)…

  • @lynnsiecooley1900

I also didn’t like my upper middle class Gilbert/ QC schools merging us with troubled ‘lower class’ kids from the Mesa/Chandler areas, or the patchy hodge podge mis matched patches of ghetto older not so great areas always being like right next door or sort of mixed in amongst these nicer newer areas in little patches of like, a custom neighborhood w/ the trailer park next door, as this is part of what led to the HUGE heroin/meth epidemic in the better & more expensive Gilbert/QC neighborhoods where kids like myself suddenly found ourselves introduced to ppl n’ things we never should’ve encountered within what should’ve been our sheltered little bubble of nicer, well to do rural suburb conservative family areas…. Literally everyone I knew from Mesquite/Gilbert high, otherwise GOOD kids from the football teams & straight A students, had become heroin addicts by the time we graduated… I didn’t meet kids in Scottsdale with those issue as they really are actually insulated from all that lower class riff raft. At the height of this drug crisis epidemic, I knew all of like 2 ppl from Scottsdale who got caught up in all that terrible drug stuff. && even now as well, most the ppl as well as the kids I know that come from/reside in Scottsdale are actually very good kids, very well insulated from bad things that affect poorer areas, just like their parents; they’re smart, they work hard, have healthy habits, mind their own business, just very good ppl over here in the ‘Snottsdale’ bubble… Very safe area, I’d say the schools are also better (obviously)… I also really enjoyed living in Ahwatukee, && would absolutely LOVE to live in the really nice parts of Cave Creek or even Phx., where these huge houses on multiple acres in the middle of the city happen to quite shockingly be in an area where you absolutely cannot buy new acre lots anymore, of course going for freaking 8 million dollars or more sometimes… Lol. A girl can dream… && wonder curiously who TF owns all these multi million dollar homes && how there could be SO many ppl that can afford this stuff when they’re suppose to be like the 1-5%, lol. How are there so many of them if they only make up 1% of all of us?? Why does it seem like we have far more housing built for millionaires than we do for the other 98%?? Lol. Like the ‘historical’ district…? Absolutely beautiful area…. I will say the S Chandler/Gilbert & the QC areas ARE really coming up & starting to get really nice, but you’re just so freaking far from everything, traffic is getting terrible in these packed in little areas with slow speed limits, not enough close enough freeway access, & considering everyone has a bunch of a kids, there just isn’t as much to do as there is in the phx/tempe/scottsdale areas w/ freeway access everywhere… Like when I was there there was NOTHING to do other than the movie theaters & Chandler mall once those things were built, NOTHING to do before those went up.. Now, there may be some malls & a few good bars & restaurants… But yea, it’s just not enough for me, I’ll still have to drive a ways away to continue having my social & wrk life in the Scottsdale/Phx area as I just don’t even like the attitude of the east valley. They hold themselves up from evolving when they try to prevent night clubs from opening down town, don’t allow smoke shops or dispensary’s or virtually anything ‘adult’ to operate there which makes me think night life probably sucks even if they do finally have a couple bars & clubs there.. Even the entertainment areas in town are too spread out so everyone has to have cars & has to drive to do anything, can’t just ride bikes around town for shopping, food, some golf, & drinks like you can in Scottsdale/certain phx/Arcadia areas.. So yea, while these are def up & coming areas (I’ve watched Gilbert just grow & grow & continue to grow so much over the years since we first moved there), && it’s finally getting to be one of those areas that’s really becoming a desirable place to live, unfortunately even after like 40 years of straight nonstop growth, it still isn’t quite the the ‘Scottsdale’ it’s modeling itself to be like quite yet && as we all know, location, location, location,… B/C of it’s location, it’ll just NEVER BE freaking Scottsdale, N. Phx., Cave Creek, Desert Ridge/Vista, OR even cheaper but central & hoppin’ Tempe.. && I guess it just irritates me a bit that suddenly here in AZ location doesn’t even seem to matter anymore, && literally everything just seems to be overpriced w/ young families pretty much having to be millionaires or at least making half a mill a year, to even be able to afford a small home that still won’t have enough bedrooms for all the kids to have their own rooms, lol & let alone any space for any office or home gym…

When it doesn’t matter if your way out in Butt Fucked pinal county or here in the heart of Scottsdale, && you’re paying a minimum of 1 million dollars for a small 2800-3000 sq ft 3-4 bedroom home (master included), that’s just some BS if you ask me… Considering most millennials (middle aged Americans), are making nowhere near 500k/year combined income…. It’s like idk who all these homes are for or WHY we’re all excited & hyped up to sell out & ruin AZ with even more transplants, traffic no one wants, && Californians no one here wants, concerning ourselves w/ selling even more brand new higher end homes to all the greedy, selfish, & rightfully lonely boomers who absolutely do not need these freaking 4-6 bedroom homes they’ll use all of 3 rooms in, being the kitchen, family room, & master… Never even touching the rest of their mausoleum glass houses…. Lol.. 🙄💁🏼‍♀️😅🤦🏼‍♀️Just ask my mom out there in her 2 million dollar 3bedroom w/ office Peoria house she just built for literally no good reason anyone can think of, especially out in Peoria where she has/knows no one when she could’ve built the same damn home here closer to town (Phx), where she actually has family & friends… She already had this million dollar tiny 3 bedroom house I live in now in Scottsdale’s McCormick Ranch.. She actually made it less valuable getting rid of a bedroom to make her master bathroom big like the modern day homes (it used to be a 4 bed, but was an old house with tiny master bath & closet like many of the homes built in the 60’s/70’s here). Lol, Forever complaining about the drive she never wants to make & apparently didn’t think enough about before moving out there, but also forever complaining about being bored & lonely out there by herself, expecting all of us to always be driving out there & sleeping over out there to visit her & keep her busy, despite the fact her kids all have husbands & kids of their own to worry about these days, && knowing that when our parents were our age, they had already dumped their own parents off at the old ppl’s homes where they rarely visited them at all, lol… It’s def been hard on millennials coming of age in a recession/labor crisis & never quite catching their footing after forever having to take the criticisms of boomers whom we’ve all had to watch literally skate through life in one of the best periods of American history, many of them spending pretty stupidly too, having been known as one of the worst parental generations ever, && really being quite a materialistic, greedy, selfish generation of ppl who to this day, don’t appear to be checked in & living in reality, still stuck in their idealistic dream land of regulation-free market bubbles && learn-on-the-job careers that actually supported entire families, now living off investments, savings’, pensions, & social security checks younger generations just won’t ever get/see… In any case, with that all said, we are due to be moving to Queen Creek, outside city limits technically, in pinal county over by like Queen Creek road &… Idk, but not that far SE for what I’d usually call ‘QC’ so I’m a little surprised it’s outside city limits despite being on city water & actually being what I’d call the ‘closer’ side of QC, lol… Due to be moving out there this fall/winter with the house completion date being in Sept.. && even though I really like the house, && LOVE the idea of having more land to ourselves & outside of any HOA, i am deeply concerned about how much all of this is going to cost, what a nightmare it’s going to be having to landscape all of that ourselves… I’m upset that as nice as it is, I don’t feel it’s worth the price when we found bigger better & already landscaped in EXACTLY the ways we wanted in the same area for the same price, actually slightly cheaper… Knowing we could’ve been in the Troon/ NE area of Scottsdale for around the same price points if my bf just had any damn patience or motivation to make a plan & stick to that… I’m sure I’ll love the new house & the beautiful Mountain View’s & quiet space out there away from everyone & all the racket of inner cities && actually being allowed to just live our damn lives w/o someone always griping at us for having the nerve to actually use our home & yard…. I’m just also very sad to be having to go back to THAT side of ‘out of town’ to be able to have that && am sure as someone who doesn’t get out much that I’ll also greatly miss how inclusive & fun Scottsdale is even for losers like me w/ no friends & no real reasons to ever leave my damn house… Everything just being right here, in a small, tight knit, safe little bubble that just ‘feels’ very high end & always nice & quiet despite how busy & fun & central it is… Just being outside & walking around, like it’s always nice, quiet, & inviting & there’s plenty of trails & parks & nice places you can walk or go for things to do… It’s SUPER dog friendly in Snottsdale too versus other whinier parts of phx metro like the easy valley, lol. I’m DEF a little concerned after hearing just ‘some’ of the things you had to say about San Tan Valley, so I REALLY hope there’s a big enough diff between San tan Valley & QC when it comes to trying to still spend time in central towns/areas… Thx for the awesome videos though, his KZread keeps suggesting your stuff & I can’t stop watching them, lol. It interesting hearing others takes on things & seeing what’s going on here in our diff areas.. && yea, definitely some good videos! My mom actually used to do relocation real estate too, so it’s def cool to see what you guys are up to & kind of contrast/compare w/ my own experiences w/ buying/selling/ && living all over the metro areas ourselves! 💁🏼‍♀️☺️🙌🏻🫶🏻👌🏻💯
