    With all the influx of people moving to Moncton, it really effed up the cost of real estate, increased crime and homelessness. It was much better in 2019.

    Please remember these are realtors. (understand there motives for making videos like this). No one born here can afford a house anymore due to low wages and inflated prices. Also, you will wait years to get a family doctor. 14+ hour wait time at the ER if you're lucky...If you don't speak French it will be extremely hard to find a decent job as this is a bilingual province, also we have the highest tax rates in Canada... Enjoy

    We are indeed REALTORS® and our motive is to help people buy and sell homes. We make videos that help people in their research about the the Greater Moncton Area. We also do our best to show both sides of our region, not just the good. Our videos about the pros and cons of living in Moncton, and things to know before moving to Moncton touch on our medical services (or lack of), how not being bilingual can affect your career, how we are the most taxed province in Canada with some of the lowest wages, and drug use and homelessness among other things.

    We have kids that have always been able to find part-time jobs as students. Some employers also have specific summer positions for students.

    What is the average one bedroom apartment rent in Moncton?

  • @deniseandmarc_realtors

    @deniseandmarc_realtors

    Full disclosure: we only work on the buying and selling side of things, not renting, but based our experience helping investors buy and sell rental properties, I'd say $1000 is a good number to keep in mind, understanding that it could be less (maybe $700-$800) or more ($1100-$1200) based on the location and features of the unit.

    There is no rent control in NB. You will be paying over $1100 for a one bedroom in Moncton. More than likely it will be a basement or an old building. If you live in a newer building or renovated building, you will be paying well over $1200 nothing in .

    Remember these people are realtors they want you to buy...sadly rent here is very high, home cost have gone up drastically, crime and homeless though the roof, jobs are very very difficult to find. Please do your true research before coming here. Yes its beautiful but it is not a heaven they say.

    There is an obvious split in Moncton. French first and yes get rid of anyone from another province if not able to speak French.

    Not sure where you're getting the idea that Moncton is getting rid of anyone from another province who doesn't speak French or how they'd have to power to do it. The last census shows population has grown by 8000 between 2016 and 2021. 68.2% claim English as their first language. We have helped MANY people relocate from other provinces and the majority spoke English.
