Moving Into The ToughBuilt - Rolling 18” Tool Bag
Ойын-сауық
I've been using this for about 2 weeks since I recorded this and I'm in love with it. We'll take another look at it in a year and see how it held up but so far it gets two thumbs up.

You can tell someone is a mechanic when a tape measurer clip registers as a place to hang an impact driver. 😂😂 love it!!!

I’ve had this bag for about two years and the only issue I had was the wheel bearings picked up some strings and dirt and destroyed them. I replaced them with some sealed bearings from Amazon and that did the trick. Rolls better than new. No other issues at all no rips holes or tares. Been a good investment 😊
I appreciate the fact you left the bit at the start where the light fell in the video, gave me a chuckle.

The fact not 1 specific measurement was given on difference sizes other that ah just a little , or its pretty much the same is why i subbed.
When i was an electrician, the tough built pouches were absolutely fantastic. The ability to set one up for rough in, one for service/trims, then have a pouch for staples/wire nuts, a drill holster, and a hammer hook. Put the clips on your belt and adapt to the scenario
I started using toughbuilt when I became a lineman. No longer on the pole but I still use my belts and bags when I need to. Good stuff. Takes a beating 💯
I'm a cabinet installer, and I used this exact same bag and loved it for about 6 months before i out grew it and switched to pack out boxes. before you count out tough built pouches and the front bar they can be a game changer, their drill holsters are very nice, the big plus is adding to the amount of storage and reduces the clutter on the inside. also the clip on the left side is for a tape measure.
Thank you for all of your hard work after work.
I haven't found a bag yet that can survive long term. Through multiple flights, different environments, chemicals and hydraulics, nothing seemed to last. Then I decided to use a pelican case and build multiple layers of foam and aluminum where every tool has a tool controlled environment/home. If there is a tool missing it shows the color of red foam. (Black foam is the top layer that holds the tool.) I know exactly what's missing by a first glance. I usually make my cases with 2 to 3 layers depending on the trip I have to make. I had a pelican fall off a Q400 horizontal stab, and it survived intact. Yay! Plus it's water proof incase I have to go for a swim.

The layers take up space that can be used for tools but you have a very necessary reason for knowing when a tool is missing. Our LAME was always picking up _"new"_ tools from light aircraft that were left in the machine before flying them to NZ. Impressive it survived a fall from so far up. Says heaps for the durability of the product. 👍

@josephking6515 I don't sleep if I'm missing a tool. Funny thing: The worst thing I have ever seen left in an engine cowl was a set of rubber chocks and a huge prybar!!! The aircraft went for a flight and came back for a service check.... wow!!! Chocks weighed close to 50 LBS. 😂 What on earth were they prying??!!
I always thought that when we put a fix it in that it magically got fixed I never thought that there is a real person actually having to drive out with tools and fix the thing. Like when it breaks it’s three days and the elves made it run again. Super neat to see the other half of the machine world
thanks for the tool order and all the kind words! the double dongle has many uses, great for interior work also
Toughbuilt has been killing it. If you haven’t picked up one of their 2 in 1 utility knife/scraper tools yet, it’s like a fidget toy for simple men like myself lol.

I work facility maintenance at 2 sites and being able to change out the packs from the type of job without lugging around unnecessary tools is great and the change is quick and seamless. @@FunkFPV Are you still talking about the bag? 🤷♂ 😀
i have been rocking this bag since they came out. before i was a multiple bag guy. i have been using Tough Built pouches for many years since they came out. small metal clip on side of bag is for tape measure. in my van i have a full set of 20 volt dewalt tools on shelves. in my rolling bag i have all 12 volt tools and my daily use hand tools. if i need to hog on something i grab the bigger tool. i keep my less used tools in the front outside pouches cause i have three tool belts that are my daily drivers, and it makes it harder to get tools out from behind tool bags. you are going to love this bag. If I'm doing any work "Rollie" (rolling tool bag) and my electrical, hvacr, plumbing or electronics bag goes on top. it has been such a great tool. for stairs up no problem down sometimes i have to tip the bag back a little more. if Rollie when missing i would cry and buy another one. i hope you have the same experience that i have had with mine. love the channel. keep up the great work
I enjoy you and your videos that you make, your funny, and I'm bettin you are a load of fun to work with.
The metal clip bar and the way the lid can be strapped open seem like a huge convenience improvement.

What makes the tough built worth a million is the tech clips. Didn't use at first, but now I Love em. I have 4 tech clip pouches that holds my impact, screwdrivers, and anything you need. 😊
As a garage door tech I’ve been really liking the tough built pouches. I put the clips on my ladders and clip the pouches to them with my most used tools. Saves me trips up and down ladders and gets my 👍
From my time as an electrician, my main reservation about tool bags is the tend to soak up a bit of everywhere they've been. Given that i used to do work on trawlers , in fish factories , dairy farms , pig farms , a variety of industrial units... you can picture how the stank could build up. But it's horses for courses , and it depends on what array of tools you carry .

Hi there Looks like you found a bag that works for you. I like the toughbuilt brand and use the pouches daily and love those. Their stuff lasts even with daily use. Looked at this bag myself but decided to go with the Stanley FMST1-80148 rolling bag. Simply because the layout fits me better as a electrician. And seeing this video with your honest no nonsense style shows me that for me I made the right choice. I’m convinced you will enjoy your bag for some time, seems to fit your setup perfectly. Keep doing what your doing, I really enjoy your style of video. It’s a far cry from the fake hyped stuff out there in KZread land. Your humor and sarcasm never fail to make me smile. Right tool for the job. Looks like a great bag! Thanks for the informative video!
I also use this brand of tool storage. its durability is acceptable. the misc pouches work well if you want to mitigate your tool load due to what you are working on. Purchasing multiple pouches is costly but it does let you kit out for what you're doing. I also mount each inside the van for storage when not in use. You may catch some shade on a bigger jobsite for your little kid toolbags but them knuckleheads take 2-3 tries to get their pants on in the morning anyway. 7/10
Sweet! Great review! I just purchased that same bag a couple months ago. I modified it and added a clip on the inside left to hold the small drill holster. Then I bought the big electrician pouch from them and it sits perfectly in the bottom. Great for organizing all the small tools I use. It’s a great bag!
Been using this toolbox for over 6 months now doing industrial maintenance and I gotta say it’s the best one I’ve had

I was looking for a rolling tool bag and saw your video. I had looked at several and bought this one after your video. I absolutely love it. I used it for about 2 months day to day then had to travel out of state on a multi-leg trip. I shipped the bag FedEx in the box it was sent in fully loaded total weight was about 45lbs. The bag traveled from California to Minnesota then to Hawaii and back to California. It is still like new and could not be happier. Thanks for the review.
Looks like i see my replacement tool bag! Thanks for the review! Always enjoy your vids!
Been running the tough built for a few years now and love it
always nice when you move into a tool bag that works great for you... I modified a packout and it's amazing now with the mods..
I was looking at both of these bags. I like the Toughbuilt pouches I have. Thank you for sharing.
Looks like a good upgrade, if I had to carry more tools I would definitely consider that one 👍
I bought my toughbuilt bag at Lowes two years ago. It is still going strong. Awesome video with a really honest review of the Harbor Freight bag. Thanks 👍👍
That bag would keep me organized better while on jobs. Great video as always!
I like the 6" wheels on the toughbuilt. I have a toughbuikt without wheels and didn't use the clip on pouches but now use 3 different pouches to go from tool bag to my belt on the job. I really like these pouches. Try them, you'll like em. Loved your video. I'm a 79 year old Okie that helps seniors fix odd items. Have a good week. Randy Roberson
I do like those ToughBuilt tool pouches and thier quick slot system. I just mounted a bunch of them on a board and separate my daily tools out into job groups. Electric, plumbing, drywall, general, etc. Held up well over the last half decade.
Love your shorts!
You make the best content, found your channel through your KZread shorts and they were absolute hilarious. Keep up the good work and funny jokes!
I'm a geek for these things. The ToughBuilt looks bad ass. Cheers from Eng;land!
I love my ToughBuilt setup! I use the tool belt with shoulder straps, then click on the pouches. When I'm done with a pouch, I hang it with extra clips mounted in the vehicle (the clips have screw holes). So far I have a right pouch for framing, a right pouch for electrical, and a left pouch for multiple trade tools like a 7 in 1 screwdriver, basic pliers, body panel pop tool, and a utility knife. I'm looking to expand. Pro tip: I hang my Dewalt batteries (six 5AH batteries) below the pouches. It saves room and the batteries are numbered to keep track of recharge life.

Have the Tough Built bag, great bag. Love it.
I’ve had mine for about a year and a half. I doubles as a seat if you need it. Never had a problem with the wheels like all other bags. I never bought into the clipping add ons. My handle broke on a trip to Mexico, on site glue and some tape fixed it. Only problem I actively have with it is the screws that attach the handle keep backing out. For the dollar, 10 out of 10 would recommend.

That bag looks sweet! I love tools and bags that are built to purpose. Seems like this was definitely test driven before it was released by toughbuilt.
Hahaha I’m not really sure if I’m broken or not but I even laughed at this one in places. Have a beautiful day brother 👍😂
And it seems like yesterday we watched you move into the Bauer bag, great video
I've had mine for 1.5 years. Holding up pretty good. Couple pockets in the front have holes from screw drivers. You can also sit on it
What's great about it is it when you use the clip on accessories you can take it off the bar and clip it to your belt and it you have the electricians bag you can stand up it up so your tools are easily accessible.
Ive had that same toughbuilt for months now and love it. Really great when you add a couple pouches on the front bar.
I went from that toughbuilt to the world of Milwaukee packouts and I tell you it fella like a car I keep improving for the next showing.
You really should consider making some audition recordings and forward them to some talent agents of open call for acting. You got the voice and humor for it.
I've been using one of the toughbuilt bags for about 2 years now and it's been great. I don't have the rolling one because I go into people's homes and was worried the wheels would mark up their floors. Hope it serves you well.

I have had my tough built for over 3 years. I’m an HVAC tec as well as a sheet metal worker. Bag has gone thru many airports , stairs and jumped manny curbs. Still going strong. Tires are a huge plus to its performance. I use the mesh screen inside for a portable speaker/ Dewalt 2 amp battery and Dewalt usb charger and sometimes my phone goes in there to charge on the usb charger. Put some lock tite on the screws in the top of the handle. You’ll love this bag.
I’ve been using it on forklifts for over a year. It’s still holding up strong even through the wonderful winters up north lol.
I just came here to point at your thumbnail and say, "I understood that reference!"
If you need more space Thoughbuilt makes a larger rolling tool bag. The XXL 22 inch, ive had mine for over a year and its amazing. Fits a circular saw, grinder, oscillating tool m18 and m12 impact and drill plus a pactool snapper shear and a couple of other attachments for the drills. Thats just the inside of the bag. Oh, and the bag still fits in the trunk of my 2004 sedan. Thoughbuilt bags are awesome.
I’ve just seen your shorts until today but it’s funny af to have you validate a purchase I made months ago and have been quite pleased w myself

I LOVE my toughbuilt belts and cases! 1200 denier ballistic nylon cloth, and a bit different organization but they are fantastic! Been using the carpenter bag, the journey utility bag/sling for 9 months and they are just breaking in. I also own the laptop case (the giant one) as an AV guy its badass! Holds laptop, soldering kit, Toner, SPL meter, batteries, glasses (in cases) pens, pencils. Butane, cables, adapters, a 17" laptop and its kit, media for testing source, and an i Pad. Cool gear for the money! The clips are sweet because you can hang them in your van/truck and just use them to organize.
Great video. Awaiting the 1 year review!!!
So much unintentional comedy going on towards the end …..Great altogether 🎉
Great review! Thanks
As a fork lift mechanic, some times having a truck most of the time broke down in the middle of a plant or factory this looks like it’ll come in handy. I’ve been thinking of getting one myself. I work out of a carry style tool bag 90% of the time.

I've had and used Toughbuilt for years. Bags are super handy for guys like me. From plumber to electrician to framer in a second. My tablehorses... Could park a truck on them. 1¼ in flat aluminum with a 1/2 in spacer makes a good track for the clips and bags to hang from on your wall
Had toughbuilt roller for over a year now no complaints!

I switched over to Toughbuilt about 2 years ago. I like their bags and pouches (Industrial electrician) and have used some of their new tool lines. Their tools still need some work, but I love the bags and pouches. One pitfall is that it's really easy to stuff the bag full of random occasional use tools and all of a sudden it weighs 100lbs +.
I picked up some of the clip on belt pieces and I e really been happy with them. Got this bag a couple weeks ago and it doesn't disappoint.
I've noticed every tough built product I've seen has some feature thats a great idea. Might not be a "game changer" but its always something thats nice to have
I love your videos and this one made me want to get one of those bags myself
Small metal bar behind scraper and above the wheel is designed to hook a tape measure on. Supposed to help keep tape readily accessible while avoiding wearing out softer pocket material. Very nice setup though, definitely like the metal bar actoss the front. I run the packout system amd love it, but I carry considerably larger tools 😂. Power tools in the bottom box, batteries and chargers in mid box, bits, blades and other smaller accessories in the top box. Then have other smaller boxes that I throw on for hole saws, strings and finish tools amd other such items. Always like to see how different people in different trades store and transport their tools. 😁👍
I gotta say funk im a service technician for a material handling business. And i have found that the Milwaukee packout is the best system to work out of being out in the field. Look into it after your tired of your new tool bag
Sold, I'm buying one!!
I'm a teacher and low level hobby woodworker, but you've got me wanting this bag. 😅
This bag is great! Used this when i had to fly with tools and packout weight and size was a little too much. The front bar is great for magnetic lights and works well if you have any of the Veto bags that have a clip on the back.
I love the Men in Black reference in the thumbnail.
Thanks for the review! I will chk it out
I like the nod to Men in Black in the title screen.
My first impressions were… 1. The clip over the wheel is for a tape measure 2. The Velcro on the top is to hold an looped extension cord 3. The paint job on that bar didn’t last long. The first tool to touch it scratched it three times. But definitely a nice bag.
The batteries falling out is on point!
So im not gonna lie about it, my table top gaming hobbies made me buy into travel cases. Wound up buying ridgid to match my tools and saved 60% or so not buying game specific products. Plus i wont have to worry if some klutz falls on my storage cases. I just wish the wheels had a stair rail/roller built in.
I have the toughbuilt bag. Ive had it a year and a half. Daily use. In and out of my van. Its great. Its the best bag on the market. The wheels are larger so its better for going up stairs. I got it on sale at lowes for 99 bucks. Ill buy another when it wears out.
I HAVE THIS BAG and it has served me well! It is worth its weight in gold, have had it almost a year and has been worth the 90 bucks i dropped on it! Edit I dropped 90 bucks on it because mine is the XL version, overall dimensions are a good bit bigger than the one demonstrated in this video.
Time is going by too fast I remember watching the video on the old bag, felt like yesterday
excellent review , you just sold me on this bag .
I own the ToughBuilt belt and tool pouches and have to say they work good! I was thinking of getting that tool bag couple years ago but I went with the DeWalt TSTASK instead but I did go to Lowe's and they have the new ToughBuilt Stacktech I think it's called? WOW I think I will get the new ToughtBuilt next 😁
Glad to see you upgrading bro! You should do a “what your rolling bag says about you” now that you got that new new!
