I'm not totally sure, but it looked like you cooked the hotdog with the plastic still on? You can actually remove them to cook the hotdog. Unlike some chorizos. :)

5:57 you're supposed to unscrew that white thing that touches your thumb, put on the shade then screw it back on from the top of the shade.
