About 75% of this video is me trying not to pack but i promise there is packing footage lol. Also, I'm typing this from our new home! We moved in yesterday, set up/unpacked almost the entire house so we're very sore but very happy. Can't wait to share next week!

My top 2 moving tips - for next time! 1 - Start by packing a suitcase as if you are going on a 2 week self-catering holiday, and also include any tea bags, cups, plates, cutlery etc, you would use. You can then comfortably live out of this case while you're settling in and unpacking. 2 - While you're packing up, have one 'bit box' for any random things that don't fit in any other box, bag or case. Be prepared to increase the size of this box (I usually start with a shoe box). This means that when you're in your new place and you suddenly realise you need that random hook, screw, button, you'll know exactly where to find it. Good luck! Hope you're settling in nicely!

The bit box is so genius!!! I'm currently packing my life away too and I'm going to do this!! I like to pack an overnight bag with clean sheets, chargers, clothes, TP, towels, and any essentials like toothbrush etc. I keep that bag with me separately and often just throw my purse in there too so everything i could possible *need* is easily accessible! Such a game changer!

I lived in the same apartment for 10 years in DC and when I finally moved, I found that while I loved having a bigger kitchen and living area, the thing I appreciated the most was the different views I had from my windows and the change in my walking routines. I was almost like living in a different city. Perspective. It's really a thing. Enjoy your new place! Can't wait to get the tour!

That is so interesting! When I moved out of one of my places the thing I was saddest about was losing my little bedroom window view and seeing all the neighbours come and go!

When i tell u i almost choked on my jacket potato when u explained about the whispering dark about Kelly Andrew because I don't know if you're aware she is a deaf author herself and I'm deaf. I'm relieved at least one youtuber has talked about the whispering dark. its a precious book of mine too. I'm glad u were able to enjoy the book. PS congrats onmoving house. i get that but also kind of disagree :D i mean i felt very overwhelmed at first but now that i've listened to the album many times through, i'm excited to have a lot of stuff to delve into. folklore and evermore are my fav albums and to this day i keep finding new details to love. i hope a similar thing happens with ttpd.

Very much anticipating rewatching this in 2 months when I'll be stressing about packing and moving away from my uni dorm ❤ had to move to a different dorm once last year but this will be the move home so it'll be kinda bittersweet, but at least this time I wont have to haul suitcases, boxes and a top-mattress with public transport in the snow 😂😂

This video was actually so helpful! I'm moving in June and I've been dreading it (my last move was tough and scarred me) but this video made me remember the excitement of it. I start packing next week since I have some time off work and now I can't wait 😆 I'll be moving from a 13 sqm bedroom in a house share in central Stockholm to a 38 sqm two room on an island outside Stockholm 🍾🍾 Can't wait to see your move-in vlogs!!!

I’m gearing up for a big move this summer and this period in your life is making me pre-emotional 🥲. It’s exciting and also something I want to do, but also sad! I always find that the worst parts are 1) taking down the art because those are such personal touches and 2) doing that final run through where you walk through the place that suddenly doesn’t look like YOUR place any more.

On a side note, I'm trying to learn both swedish and korean and pronunciation wise, swedish is a beast. Idk if its cause im 30 and getting old but my brain does not want to wrap around how they pronounce things lol. Korean pronunciation is actually much more straight forward. Never going to speak like a native but way easier than Swedish. I'm convinced swedish pronunciation was founded by some guy who always had bread or mead in his mouth and instead of realizing he was talking with his mouth full people just... copied him. No offense to my ancestors 😅

I dread packing, got over 100books in my bookcase, which mum does not understand - she's a read it once and get rid of it type person, where I like to reread some. I mean if it's a 'meh' story then yes I'll give it away. When I moved and ran out of wrapping, I used anything soft to buffer the breakables. Like cushions, towels, bedding and clothes. I think even though I'd like to move, I've been in this place for years now, so it's so familiar/ safe or whatever word you want to use. That it's daunting actually moving somewhere else - the doubts creep in Hope you guys are happy in your new bigger apartment 👍

I was stoked to get to see the azaleas in full bloom during my trip to Korea - heading back home to Canada tomorrow which makes me sad, but at least I arrived when the air quality had gotten better! Hope you enjoy your new place and get to start making new happy memories in it!

Congratulations on the move, why is it such a bittersweet goodbye for me as well! But on to better places, as a person who is scared of change I am proud of you ;)
