Moving in New Antique Inventory Pt. 1 | A VINTAGE VLOGMAS '21 Day 23

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Welp... Sometimes phones die when your trying to do something important... The plan was to be moving in new antique inventory that I've been hoarding at the house. Unfortunately my phone battery had other ideas. I promise not to leave you hangin'! Part 2 of the move in will be up tomorrow. Day 23 of a Vintage Vlogmas '21 is done but I don't have much footage to prove it. HA!

I watch several KZreadrs who resell and discovered you a couple months ago….you quickly moved to the top of my favorites! I have made my living selling real estate for the last 30 years, and have been a junker my whole life….I yearn to have my own booth and am working towards that goal then hopefully be able to retire and just do that. You and I have similar taste in “junk” but your artistic talent with painting the furniture blows me away. And, my favorite comment today was about your “fatal flaw” of underestimating the time it will take to do something. I do this EVERY TIME and drive my husband nuts! I’ve learned over the years to decide his long something will take and add 50% to it….if it will take me an hour, I add 30 minutes to it; if it will take me 2 hours, I add an hour to it, etc. I still am off some of the time but consistently doing this really has helped. I SO enjoy your videos and your Vlogmas has been awesome. I wish I lived near enough to shop in your booth but I am all the way out in Idaho. He a Merry Christmas!

Wow!! You do have ALOT of new items to stage in the booth . That is great! And you're absolutely right, I underestimate how long things take to get done. Just yesterday I was tagging items ( mind you I pre-made them) and it took about 3 hours! Where did the darn tome go!?! I was discouraged.. but braced myself and drove the 45 minutes to my booth to drop it all off . I also have to go back to fix it all up! Anxiously waiting on part 2

Thank you so much for allowing us to have a part of your life. Merry Christmas to you and your family and we wish you a Happy New Year.

Regarding your last video and your very busy and tiring full-time schedule, And being a busy reseller with booths myself for over 30 years, ...... I read years ago, "DO NOT BUY PROJECTS". You spend a lot of hours painting, refinishing, and working on furniture, and on many miscellaneous projects. I am a successful antique re-seller, and I ONLY buy items that I can put DIRECTLY INTO MY BOOTHS. Obviously, you enjoy projects; but they are far too time consuming. I save money by NOT buying paint and other supplies; and I leave painting furniture up to those who purchase my items, especially when I might lose a sale because I painted an item that doesn't match a potential customer's Color Scheme. I always look forward to your videos, and YOU ARE MY FAVORITE; but I do not enjoy you being so tired, and seeing you without time for FUN AND RELAXING WITH LOVED ONES, AND MIKE. MERRY CHRISTMAS; AND MAY YOUR FUTURE ALWAYS BE HAPPY, HEALTHY, AND PROSPEROUS!!!

Yes, please!! But rest!!! Give yourself permission to sit or nap n regroup!! We will wait for you to see you rested!.. as for how long it takes to complete all the tasks...yes! This is universal... for r0 plus years this is my experience.. reason? You're not throwing things in helter skelter..thought n careing , being artful, takes time! The lesson is what you are doing is successful, pleasing to the eye, and selling!!! Win win!!carry on as you are, it's all o.k.!!

Ha! Way to leave us hanging, Amanda! 😝 Your dad is great - my husband has become a grumpy old man and has totally boycotted big furniture. The time management thing is a biggie - I'm guilty of this, too. I'd like to think I'm more creative when I'm working last minute, but I've probably just learned to justify this character flaw since I haven't been able to change my behavior!

Would like to comment on your father a wonderful person that help you out a lot nothing like a dad help just sometimes to spend time with daughter. I think that is awesome. My dad would come around even just to see us daughters wash our car and say you need help with something. 😊just saying it's nice.
