Did you find that you had some file/folder length issues when trying to add the OneDrive shortcut to file explorer?

Hi. I didn't have any issues. Are you referring to restrictions that OneDrive or SharePoint has? See Microsoft' article: support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/restrictions-and-limitations-in-onedrive-and-sharepoint-64883a5d-228e-48f5-b3d2-eb39e07630fa#:~:text=File%20name%20and%20path%20lengths,-Applies%20to%3A&text=The%20entire%20decoded%20file%20path,and%20file%20name%20after%20decoding.

@@MissionComputers yes. Our issue is folder length so we’re going to start renaming some to shorter folders.
That was amazing..thanks for the explanation 🙂....quick question here...1) I'm planning to migrate the Windows file server to SharePoint within two weeks. I'm preparing the folder structure on the SharePoint site, Is there an inbuilt Sharepoint tool or third-party software you would like to recommend for migration? Of course, copying and pasting from the file server to SharePoint is not the right way. I need 100% data to be transferred successfully. 2) we have 485GB of data, how long do you think will take this at once ? anyway im going to move department by department. PLEASE HELP..thanks

Thanks for your comment. The migration of files is not something I typically do, as I would work with an IT company to get this accomplished for a client. Here is what I know about tools available: Depending on where the data is being migrated from, this may be useful. spmtreleasescus.blob.core.windows.net/install/default.htm And some instructions learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepointmigration/introducing-the-sharepoint-migration-tool Hope this helps.
