Anderson does make some amazing movies and I often find they are even better on subsequent viewings.

Bill Murray's performance in this film is outstanding, that moment you highlight is such a subtle change of expression yet completely conveys his thought process and realisation

Bill Murray is brilliant throughout, but that split second closeup where Burt introduces himself as Max's dad and his face just goes slack. With the quiet music in the background and the cozy lighting, it's like relief washing over you.

I think Max Fischer is alluding to that his mom was his original Rushmore, painfully sad to see a boy so lost

Just watched this movie yesterday for the first time and loved it, not sure how I ever missed it. Look forward to watching it again. And props to the soundtrack, music was perfectly selected.

I have a constant fight with one of my film nerd friends: no matter how much I argue with him, he still thinks Max is the same jerk. "Jerks can still do nice things." The thing that bothers me about that is that by thinking he's still a jerk, I can't help but feel that my friend has completely missed the point of the movie.

No really....Bravo to you for creating this piece! Splendid summary to not just my favorite Wes Anderson movie, but one of my Top 5 movies of all time. Without a doubt, this movie flows (flawlessly) better than any of Wes Anderson's works. He has a knack of being able to make me laugh, and then 5 minutes later, have me tearing up like a schoolgirl. My favorite director..

Just as I thought your taste in film film couldn't get any better, you release this video. Definitely my personal favourite Wes Anderson film, although Fantastic Mr. Fox and The Royal Tenenbaums are pretty damn good as well.
