Great clip - brings back so many memories - I did it 30 years earlier. Lovely to hear the German - and their constant encouragement. Well done mate. I paid £400 in 1983. To those who think it is a doddle - sure go to Hohbalm; and then go to the Graveyard by the Zermatt Church and read the words. You pay the guide £800 to tell your story - alive. (Nicks dad) HUGE respect.

This clip is more complete than any others I have seen. GoPro uses wide-angle lenses thus I am looking forward to an non-distorted view in the future. Yet this give me better idea of what this is all about. Thanks!

yeah its because of the fisheye lens. I noticed it the first time I took my go pro skiing with me because the steep as fuck runs that scared the hell out of me looked almost flat on the go pro and it kind of pissed me off because it made the terrifying run look like nothing. Haha its just the fisheye lens. Its awesome for a lot of things but it completely annihilates depth perception

Isobel Babington nope. I meant exactly the opposite of that. It makes it look much less steep due to the distortion that a fisheye lens creates.

ironie3, could you explain what is the point of being attached to the rope when neither the rope nor the climbers are attached to the rock? (P.S. I'm a beginner in rock climbing and mountaineering, so I'm not trying to argue - just want to understand)

I mean situations like for example 4:45. There are parts where they clip the rope into carabiner - there I understand the point.

iiii Its a mountaineering technique called short-roping. It would take days for them to climb this thing with fixed belay anchors. Under icy conditions that is probably deadly.
