Read part of the book and searched for the movie but couldn't find it until now so thank you for the upload. The main actors were so perfectly chosen and it made the movie all the more enjoyable 🤩👌

This drama is one of few Chinese drama that I love. Really love it. Their act, their chemistry is are so good

43:43 is very funny to me because he first scared her and now is shocked her heart is beating fast and asking if she likes him. Like BOIII that's not how it works

Many people talk about the drama as toxic as if they were expecting a perfect fantasy love story which is usually done for many dramas. This was one of the better dramas I have watched because it was close to reality and captivating. The acting was great also.

This summary is a good reminder to someone who saw the drama, but not good enough to anyone who didn't see it. Because he /she won't be able to see many details. This man didn't believe in love or marriage but his mother keeps asking him for an heir & by accident he found out that he has a son. OK, I'll take him & give him to my mom. But Wu tong stands up for him saying "my son is not for sale". The same situation his mom & Wu tong both are single moms with illegal sons, but there is a big difference between the two. His mom raised him toughly and cruelly & Wu tong raised Tongtong with love and tenderness .. Her warmth touched his heart & he became crazy in love with her, even when he wrongly thought that she betrayed him, he was willing to sacrifice himself for her by going to jail instead of her. His love for her was huge & deep. This is my second favorite Chinese drama after "Go ahead".

Why are all comments saying that this is a beautiful story. Wen in reality this is overly toxic. The female lead is shown with no moral strength literally crying every 2 second snd begging for forgiveness when it wasn’t even her fault. And the male lead is so obsessive first he interfered in the girl’s life again and again and kept asking what does she want (bro she doesn’t even want to talk she revealed that ur the father in order to save her son) then he also denied his children’s existence both time and required proof like DNA test. Don’t even get me started on the brother and the mother-in-law. This drama is a total mess and wrong example for younger generation.

Jerry's acting in this drama series is very powerful. His eyes acted appropriately. When the scene is firm, his eyes stare sharply. During romantic scenes, his eyes look soft, seductive, and sweet . His facial expressions also make this series seem real. He is very suitable for acting as a man who is cold on the outside but warm on the inside. As a heartless, smart, ambitious and handsome businessman, as a funny boss, as a good father, as a son who has a bitter childhood, as an older half-brother who competes with his younger half-brothers, and also as a husband who is sometimes hit by jealousy. LZM can handle business, family and love crises at the same time. The chemistry with Tong Liya really depicts of affection. I can feel the vibrations of love just by seeing Lee Zhong Mou and Wutong close together and looking at each other, great acting.. Tong Liya's acting also feels real. Wutong looks motherly, elegant, fragile but still brave as a single mother, the pain was felt to the audience when she had to separate from TongTong. TongTong is a very smart kid in this drama series 😊 This is a masterpiece drama, the story is mature and there are many messages conveyed in it, all about pain, love, trust, don't trust, sacrifice, and forgiveness. I've watched it many times without getting bored since 2014. Good Job. Good team work. Lastly, Jerry Yan looks very manly and handsome in a 3 piece formal suit.

Completely agree with all that you said. I just also want to add that I really appreciate the fact that they didn't make the 2nd Female Lead to be some wicked witch who was obsessed and couldn't give up. It was very big of her, quite mature, that is, to tell LZM to go after Wutong and letting him know where to find her. That was awesome!

Jerry Yan is fine. I don't care how old he gets. He seems to get finer. Because he looks damn good in The Forbidden Flower. Like his love interest is over 20 years younger than him, and it just works.

The i don't care look suits him really well 😂

I am glad the woman who the model/movie star realize not waste time in this guy, he was not going marry to her!!!. Women wait for years and waste their best years waiting on man to marry them.

this whole story is screwed up. he stole the child from her even though she birthed the boy and raised him perfectly well on her own. how the hell is a dress and a singular stove incident enough “evidence” to lose custody?? plus, the child’s opinion was never taken into account. he obviously only ever wanted to be with his mother. the whole relationship aspect of this is toxic, too.

Every time i see the part where he yells at her for seeing his brother yet he is seeing that other girl i get so mad. He is so abusive, aggressive, and controlling with her. And he always uses the kid against her. If someone took my kid away, i would NEVER love them again.

You think this is a FAMILY drama? Would you really want to show children that marital abuse is acceptable? The male lead tortures the woman throughout this toxic drama. Is that what you consider to be "family values?"

That CEO and his freaking family make me so angry. She should have never returned to him. He is soo toxic and will always keep blaming her on every occasion rather than trusting her. That son of trash doesn't deserve her at all. She could do so much better without him.

I've watched all the full episodes and in the eps, he does come to realise the enormity of what he had done and how badly he had treated her. He was truly repentant. This shortened movie version doesn't reveal that at all.

@@lindaroane3344 actually the photos were taken by the photographer hired by Madame Lee. that was taken on the same night that XJ drugged on WT. When WT married LZ, she did not set a boundary of her private married life. XJ was a cruel lawyer. He used WT to compete with his brother and WT just allowed herself to become a happy victim. There were already a lot of red flags that warned her, she should not trust the company of XJ, like he drove like crazy, an emotionally infantile person when the latter knew that WT chose LZ to be her love.

Finally I found Chinese drama with no people and dragon flying in the sky,..

I really expected her to stop being a doormat at the end. But no, she ordered her brain to have amnesia and forget all the evil and cruel treatment she went through. Watch the scene at 7:27 for example, how he and his entire family was soo cruel and was enjoying her heartbreak. Unforgivable acts which shows that his character is suitable to do any evilness without even blinking. And she voluntarily went back to him! People who dont have even an inch of self respect are more despicable then the abusers and they are the worst examples for their children.

It's a 35 episode series (45 minute each). Someone cut out the most important scenes and made a 1 hour bit so a lot got left out. The full version has more characters, the plot is much more developed and things are explained much better... I think I remember seeing part of it and he grovels a lot to get her to like him back. things don't happen so abruptly as in this movie. By condensing 30 or so hours into just one hour this movie lost all important parts that make the story complex and interesting. So I get your disappointment... they all are much better characters than this movie lets show. NGL though, the beginning is messed up with the custody trial and all...

@@Langelinel No. Not hatred, moving on. Forgiveness is just a tool of letting go, moving on, so, no higher pats here. River moves on whilst dumping dirt on it's way and he (they) were dirt. Being limitless selfness equals having zero self-respect. So, I didnt see her respecting herself throughout the whole drama. Only at the end a little when she left ... but then, a few smooth words and back she was in her usual doormat position. Such a bad example for her kid. I promote self-love-first. Only then you can give the best of yourself to your loved ones.

This is one of the very interesting C drama to watch. Lesson learned and worthwhile to real life situation. Great sharing.

She forgave these unforgivable ppl too easily. The only person who worked for it was her husband. I’d never live in the same house as such vile ppl

I was crying but after I saw the baby I was laughing

I watched so many times I really like the story🎉🎉🎉🎉

I think my eye will get swollen tommarrow morning of me none stop crying omg

I know this is only a movie but if a man behaves like this in real life he is an abuser. Using the child to threaten her is atrocious.

IMO his and the court emotional quotient is near zero. No consideration is given to prepare the child for separation from his mother, not even a single day to pack personal belongings

Hay, ang ganda.. Naiyak ako sa part na sinabi nya na buntis sya ulit pero kinancel parin siya at di naniwala. Muntik na talaga ko masura kay Zhongmou, gustong gusto ko na syang sampalin para matauhan 😅. Akala ko pababayaan nya nanaman na magbuntis at manganak si Wu Tong mag-isa.. Buti nalang talaga.. Overall maganda kahit madaming cut. Pero dapat sinama yung part na paano nya nalaman yung totoo about sa pictures, kung paano nya narealize na nagkamali sya. Pero ok narin, atleast Happy Ending 😊❤️ P.S Ang cute parin ni Jerry Yan 🥰

yeah, its kinda sad and disrespectful the way this "movie"(strung together clips) doesn't present his and the other cast members work on the original series that well. there are some particularly poignant dialogues and scenes that got chopped. ijs

I'm thinking that a bunch of women under age 30 or so ought not watch this. This whole movie is horrifying. There's basically a date rape by an older guy on a naive young woman who has a crush on him. She bravely takes on being a single mother for the love of her child. And yet she's portrayed as this absolute doormat who still loves his verbally and physically abusive man no matter how he humiliates her, constantly Yanks her around by her arm, forces kisses on her as she cringes away even though she has said no repeatedly, and takes custody of her child as well. He kidnapped her up the street anytime he decides he wants something from her and then just leaves her to get home wherever he has taken her. And still supposed to believe that this single mother strong enough to raise a child on her own is a doormat for love, and loves only this colossal a-hole. Young women do not need to be looking for a prince. They do not need to be looking to role models like this woman, and they definitely shouldn't be looking for a partners based on their income or social status, and they certainly should not think it's okay to let someone humiliate you and drag you around by your arm and shout in your face, etc. Then he kidnaps her again and demands that she marry him?! Sadly, I just know there are some deluded people out there saying "how romantic" that is. 🙄😓

My girl! 👏👏👏 This is true. I think in Asia, aggressive "love" is a romantic idea. Like it proves that the guy REEEEAAAAALLLYY wants her or something. But real love will be someone who doesn't want to even 'accidentally' injure any hair you shed !

girl, this is only a movie and you can´t put your anger on the actor for this, this is only the result of an imaginatively thinking of the scrip writer, if you have the same experience or whosoever in your acquentances, please don´t put the blame on this movie . whatsoever, i love the movie and we can learn so much from it, for example by being not so naive and less respect for onesself. no offense everyone!!

This is tooooo much for meeee, goodness how does a man treat a woman this badddd and she still loves him,the bullying, the emotional and physical abuse but still chooses to stay with him...I can't believe what I'm seeing 😡😡😡

Exactly, and what’s more unbelievable is that society accepts this behavior and call it a beautiful love story! If the tables were turned and the Women’s behavior was bad it wouldn’t be called a beautiful love story though…

All I'm gonna say is the kid Tongtong was so adorable 🥺🥺🥰 The couple could do better, especially his dad, heck both dads, but I guess it wasn't that bad of an ending 🌻♥️🌻
