Movement Science at Scottish Rite for Children

Sophia Ulman, Ph.D., is the division director of the Movement Science Laboratory at Scottish Rite for Children Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Center in Frisco, Texas.​

Learn the basics of motion analysis, motion capture and movement science and how our team applies motion capture to learn about sport-related injury prevention in young athletes. Dr. Ulman also shares early results from injury risk profile projects showing relevance of sleep quality, eating breakfast and other modifiable risk factors for reducing injury risk in young athletes.​

This information was provided as a part of a monthly educational event for medical professionals. The program Sport-Related Injury Prevention: What We Are Learning also included lectures by Scottish Rite for Children researchers Ashley Erdman, B.S., M.B.A., and Alex Loewen, M.S.​
