I've developed a similar view of movement from spending time in my highschool ballet class. It came clear to me that movement was everything, and it is our most primal expression. I felt so full whenever I danced, like I was meant to do this all the time. But ballet had strict rules, and that forced me away from dancing all together. Thankfully, I found Ido, and he has shown me the validity in the importance of movement. Flow on friends. Be water.

Talking about loosening the body but being connected using peripheral vision ,body awarness , awarness of alignment and structure of the body realising that tension and hardness are not always best sometimes a softer touch is needed all the things that martial arts don't cover. Ahem excuse me but this is what Tia chi has been about and in far greater detail than this for thousands of years. Soft flowing conected movement relying on body alignment and structure for stability and strength and we've had nothing but hard times for it now the mma poster boy (no offence intended he is bloody good ) has seen the light everyone will start jumping on the band wagon this will become the next mma patented fighting technique. Yet another traditional martial arts technique will be taking and used in mma. With no acknowledgment to the art of origin.

For what it's worth. I think it could be depending on your relaxation. If you were to do sanchin then I would say not due to the tension. Being tense is not natural. If you were to do sanchin totally relaxed then i think it would be, but that's not how you do sanchin. Just using that kata because it's so extreme.
