I totally can relate about moving to university. Personally, I did not have my parents go with me which meant I travelled alone and I had never done that. The only thing that really pulled on my heart strings is the fact that I miss my sister and the way I got through that was re-direct that into my motivation, saying to myself that anytime I see my sister, I should just remember to work so that I can be that example of big brother that she can look up to, if that made sense. Try this the next time you miss your family, but never ignore the sadness, just let it out. I watch some AGT auditions to get my sadness out.

I really commend you on sharing a vulnerable moment + I know speaking from personal experience, as well as seeing many others make that big change, that it is *very* appreciated. I recently graduated in May and I remember watching videos like these when I first started in Fall 2017... I was searching and searching because I spent the first 3 weeks basically crying lol. I didn't see a lot of people showing the emotional side of things (which is totally fine too, but sometimes you just need someone to relate to, you know?). It's okay to struggle. College is such a HUGE change, but oh. my. god. does it fly by LOL. I sound so cliche I know, but for real, it goes quicker than high school. I still remember my first day of classes. It's such a pivotal time in life where you really start finding who you are... and remember: things do work out! I know this is ridiculously long, but I seriously am proud of you for sharing this and I hope you have the best time!

The part where you explain that it's ok to miss your family and just showing your real self even in vulnerable times is really humbling! Thank you so much! I'm heading to college in a few weeks and getting my own apartment and it's been really hard mentally.
