The concrete mixer lorry driver is a true professional who clearly takes pride in what he does! From the moment he smiled as he petted the dogs, to the way he spread a layer for the metal grid and then jumping out to demonstrate and teach to helping to level out the concrete slab. This is the kind of person you want on site. I hope he watches and reads all of the comments that are praising him.

In 40 years of construction I have never seen a concrete truck driver EVER help with anything. I figured he was a friend of everyone there to be honest. Upstate seems to be a small town place, and Andrew is of course well known up there. Regardless, driver was top notch guy!@@AndrewCamarata

Most mixer drivers get paid by the hour and milking it on easy jobs like this eats up the day rather than going and getting load after load.I know because I also drive a mixer lol. No need to have to wait for the concrete to be finished. Once the truck is empty/mud on the ground the job is done for the Operator.

In Connecticut I usually see them help on residential at least, obviously they can't stick around long always but usually there's a guy running the truck and another guy running the chute or pour and helping it

As a fellow mixer truck driver I really enjoy these pouring videos. The Operator did a fantastic job and was ready to jump in and help. I'm assuming he's probably another buddy of Andrew's. I see the same crews on a weekly basis, and the crews that I am close with(respect) I have no problem getting out of the truck and helping them puddle/screet mud. It's always satisfying helping a crew out that is under staffed or just new to the game in general. A lot of mixer driver's won't get out of their truck, so it's refreshing to see this guy help.

Looks like the 99 truck was from Bonded Concrete with a great guy who did a excellent job for the customer. The first thing he did when he got out of the truck was greet the dogs.🐾. Definitely a good person and his company is lucky to have a dedicated worker like him.

That concrete guy really warmed my heart, to think some folks like him still exist, not seen in a long time.

You could really tell the level of operator skill between the two, not dogging anyone just thought it was really funny how quick Andrew cleaned up the propane tank hole once he hopped in the other excavator

Me an OSHA supervisor, happen to love all the shady stuff that occurs with the garage moving. I appreciate your "just get it done" approach. This is nothing compared to the dumpster fires I've seen in while out on sites.

You amaze me Andrew. I watch you pour gravel and I believe you could pour a level depth within one inch of grade just by using your track loader. What an artist. From your camera angle the screed board and bull float both looked like they were over 24 ft. long. I was impressed that the driver washed it even after he had helped you screed the slab. Obviously a heck of a video project recorded over several years. There aren't many on KZread like this. It's great that you let us watch this project come together. Thanks a million!

A suggestion on the building moves with two pieces of equipment: The person who can't see the interior is the leader. The person who can see the interior is the follower. Connect a strip of construction tape between corners and the follower can watch that tape for sagging and stretching to see when they need to speed up or slow down. The leader follows the direction of the ground guide.

They screwed that building up to the point the owner had to rebuild it. I've seen Andrew do some sketchy things and get away with most......but this was so bad that I was embarrassed for him.

Considering the equiptment used and how the building was braced i think there was very minimal damage to it , we always added at least 4 sections of X bracing with one in the garage door and lagged 4x4s all way around the lower perimeter to every other stud. We have used tractors with forks and skidsteers to move many buildings and a few were old log buildings, we have 3/4” anchor loops welded on the skid plates and chain the two skid steers together so the outside guy can pull the lead to keep the slack out and maintain the same distance between them and chain is out the way of the arms. Mad props to the concrete truck operator also, awesome guy and should be in the commercial for how to give 110% for the companys image and customer support/satisfaction. If he sees this, hats off to you my man.

I think it would have worked for that building even tho its bigger than anything i have moved, but i like to use 2 pieces of equipment, pick up the building, back up a trailer and set it on the trailer then move around, and offload the same way.

You guys got it done. A lot of stress to that building... It turned out fine though. The easiest way we've moved a few garages is to back a flatbed trailer inside. Jack it up, build and brace off of the flatbed and haul it away... Makes it super easy to maneuver and put in place.

My wife started a KZread channel 6 months ago, almost has a 1,000 subscribers 👍 I didn’t realize how much work you put into making your videos and the money it costs for drones, computers, software, cameras and time it takes to make 1 video. I don’t know how long it takes you to create and upload a video but she spends about 8hrs a day making videos to upload every 3 days or so. I appreciate your hard work. I had no clue the time and money you invest in making videos for everyone to watch. I appreciate it🙂

One way or another Andrew will get what ever it is to its resting place. Good video and like you said in the video it’s been a few yrs in the making. It’s great to see the driver getting into doing some of the work on the pour. I’m having a hard time understanding how and why none could tell that there pallet forks were not level and that they were poking holes in the ceiling. After they finished the building with the new siding it looks wonderful. The whole place is coming along slow but steady and looking 👀 good

Andrew always has great videos. I think he could have used about 20-30 Amish men to move the building. They do phenomenal building moving in their communities.

Must be where you are from then lol. Up here in N Idaho most of the younger drivers at my plant will get out and help the crews that give respect to drivers/operators. I see/pour for crews on a weekly basis, so I get out and help the crews out that deserve it. The yelling/cranky crews don't get much help. Keep that in mind and build relationships with your mixer drivers.

Props to everyone, but especially the concrete driver.

That concrete delivery guy reminds me of of how every delivery person helped us out in Michigan in the 70's. That was just the way they worked on house construction sites.

Christmas has come early this year thanks to Andrews flurry of uploads I almost feel guilty devouring so many content treats this past couple of weeks! Nuther lovely one. That concrete guy couldn't have been any more helpful than he was, just the sort of guy you need for a task such as laying foundations or footings, whatever. That video was over two years old with the updates and time spent on other things by the owner. The whole place will be fantastic in a couple of years when its all done. Good on you Andrew ..... When I was a kid 40+ years ago people in my town were constantly moving garages. They backed a hay wagon into it, jacked it up and tied the building to the wagon and pulled it with a tractor.

It's always a good day when Andrew uploads a new video

Buy a mag float, it is the first thing you should hit the mud with after you screed. The steel glazes it over. In the area I live in , we call that a slab not a foundation. You aren't below the frost line. I've had awesome drivers like that. Dude went above and beyond.

Beautiful concrete work. That's exactly how I do it. 2x6 saw motion back and forth, I do 2 passes with the saw motion, edge the ends and broom it. No bull floating.

@andrew. I appreciate that you hold onto footage for four years instead of having 20 videos about the same thing spread out. I know you could be creating playlists, but it’s just way more satisfying to watch an entire project as a feature length movie.

the problem with using two skid steers seems to be that they have to be moving at the exact same speed so there's no stress on the building. I think putting metal plates on the jacking spots of one skid steer so the building would be pushed by one skid steer and would slide on the other skid steer. that way you could have different speeds on the skid steers and maybe the building would just slide on the other set of forks, reducing the stress on the building.

Just a suggestion to maybe lift the building and back a trailer under it for your next building move. Much less stress on the building that way. Just a tip on pouring concrete. Start the pour from the back. Screed and lift the metal grid as you work your way to the front. Have a person fill in the low spots as you move backwards. An experienced truck operator, like the one you had, can put the concrete where you need it with a lot less work for you having to move concrete around.

Andrew, use magnesium bull floats from now on, you will thank me later, the different tops with multiple edges allow you to put weight on them. This allows you to open up and finish concrete better to get it nice and flat

That building being moved is me trying to get through life at the moment. It might not look good but we got there in 1 piece 😂
