I have multiple head-canons.
One set of these designs I use for all the stuff that would never happen in canon but I want to be able to do anyway, and the other for having them act a bit more canon, but not quite as now they’ve met as to where in canon, they wouldn’t have.

The only one who would have some idea who Nightmare is would be Killer, since his Creator canonized almost every alternate timeline. Including the one where Nightmare recruits Killer.

Another summary, the more canon designs are well Canon the creator of killer sans confirmed the timeline where nightmare recruits him, but for horror and murder sans they never joined
