MOUSEHOLE 5-0 BIDEFORD | GOALS, INTERVIEWS & MATCH REPORT

Спорт

In very wet conditions - with the lowest Home gate of the season witnessing the best performance of the campaign - Mousehole notched up a second ‘clean sheet’ win in four days, both of them against higher-placed opponents,
with a dominant and fast-paced display that included three first-half goals in five devastating minutes.
The Seagulls raced into a commanding four-goal lead before the half-hour mark, helped by top scorer Hayden Turner’s
14-minute hat-trick, which took him past the 100th goal mark for the club since joining from St Austell in 2019.
The wingman-turned-striker’s first was an astute lob past stranded keeper Adam Seedhouse-Evans after some superb build-up play, and his second and third came from close range when he was in the right place at the right moment.
Callam Mconie capitalised on a loose rebound to lash home Mousehole’s second, and also came within a hair’s breadth
of adding to the scoreline before half time, as did Charlie Cummins and Mitch Beardmore.
Constantly on the back foot, the visitors came close to conceding more goals before finally stemming the Mousehole onslaught, gaining an element of control and mounting a couple of promising threats of their own late on
However, with the full moon appearing out of clearer skies, the last scoring action came at the other end
as substitute Josh Bissett’s surging run from the right ended with a rising 20-yard left-footed shot
into the far corner of the net in the final minute of the match.
