MOUNTAINS
Фильм және анимация
This is a little film that explores the idea of mountains as personal challenges. I filmed this while I was up at my grandparents home in the Blue Mountains. The terrain there is so gorgeous, especially in the morning and evening light. You really do feel small when you're surrounded by colossal mountains, it's a humbling feeling.

"You are the product of years of climbing," When I heard this, I immediately thought of my parents and how I am a product of them. How they immigrated to America, learned an entirely new language, and work hard everyday with little pay, all to make sure they can provide the best possible life for my sister and I. They have been climbing their whole life, and still continue to climb, and I hope that one day, I am able to take care of them, attempt to repay all that they have done for me, so they can finally reach the top and enjoy the view. Thank you, Ollie, for this beautiful and very well done video. I don't know if you wrote what you said but either way, you delivered it extremely well and managed to take my breath away.

Tbh talent is actually nonexistent, but having something beautiful to say or express that's out of the norm is rare Indeed. The boi has a voice ^-^ and it's all his own
I cried when you said 'you were a product of years of climbing' thank you for telling me this. Thank you for making this. You helped me feel lighter.
That voice, that video, that cinematography, that everything.
Man your videos are much more than only KZread content. They give us new reasons to fight and never give up. Life is not for cowards... Thank you Thank you
Me and my brother sat and watched this, lights out on the big screen just like a movie. I can honestly say it's one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. My brother (10years old) turned to me at the end and said "that's what I want to do when I'm older, do what Ollie does" And I couldn't agree more. Thank you Ollie :) X
"You are the product of years of climbing" wowww your story telling is so good
I, someone who comes from a country where there are exactly zero mountains, really loved how you used them more as a metaphor instead of ordinary footage for your cinematography. :)
😱 my home, I live here. Such a beautiful message to show an amazing place to the world.
Oh my lord. I just discovered your channel and it's so amazing to see so much beauty in your colors, videos, pictures and even in your words. I am breathless. This is the kind of things/videos that makes me think about Life. This is a work of pure art. And I am sure you will be one day reward.
Absolutely beautiful Ollie. I especially loved it when you were replaced with the older gentleman. I thought you captured the timelessness of nature beautifully and really liked that you coupled it with a beautiful message. Awesome video man!
People dont get enough cradit for this kind of filming and style of videos on youtube. It is amazing! Thank you for that Ollie.
This has a different meaning for me than others in a sense. I'm a hiker. It's in my blood. My grandpa traveled the country climbing mountains. My mother and I are now working towards climbing all the 4000 footers in New England. There are 48. I have done 8 and everyone has been amazing. My most recent one was Mt. Washington, the tallest mountain on the east coast of America and it was difficult but when I got to the top it was very rewarding other than all the annoying tourist who came the easy way up. I literally had to wait in line to reach the summit that I felt i deserved. 6288 ft. I took the hard way. They took the easy way yet they still reached the top before me. That's just life. Anyways. Great content. Great theme. Love it all.
Every time I am down, I come back to this video as a reminder , a booster of confidence. Even if life can be quite hard and goals seem too far, the journey can be incredible and its worth every step of the way until those views. But also, to remind myself that I am incredible as well :- ) No matter how up or down in the mountain I am.
Looks like I just found another favorite cinematographer
I love how you appreciate things. The way you explain and talk about your thoughts.
Its a nice thing to wake up to and watch, I like to add more but I don't know what to add. Makes one think differently of how we view things
Everything about this video is amazing, but I think the absolute best part was the beginning, where I opened my eyes and saw the beautiful landscape. Indescribable.
You have a talent of showing and saying things the right way.. Your stories , your words and the way of saying them, the whole atmosphere of these videos of yours. You inspire people. That's a gift. Not everybody can do it. Emrace your qualities, live for yourself and for others. You talk about such simple and logical things , but you just put them in another perspective. I like that. You have a gift. Wish you all of the luck to stay with that gift of yours all of the time. (aka life)
I'm showing my future children this. It's absolutely amazing
I love your mind Ollie, you are special. I hope every person in that world go to watch your videos because it makes open the mind hugs
This is what I needed this made my feeling of emptiness go away.
well, guess what I live in Florida soooo, but every time I go out of state I love seeing the mountains, they are the earth art.
My hometown is literally in the mountains. All my life I've grown up climbing and playing around these mountains. That is my special place. I feel like they've been with me through thick and thin. I've been around mountains for years, but nothing still comes close to that moment when you see over the edge and into that vast space. Thank You for this video man. It expresses everything that i could never get into words.
dude your work is sick!

Never met someone who can combine Words and scenery so perfectly. You are truly a modern storyteller. And I applaud you for that!
I cannot begin to fathom nor put into words the beauty that you incorporate into your videos, Ollie. Its legitimately poetry. If at some day i can create something like this or any of your videos i'll view it as an accomplishment. Keep doing you mate.
I feel so touched right now that im actually crying, doing this, move people like this is amazing, i love your videos they're so unique and special and the visuals are so pleasing im just speechless i can't even explain how i feel
It's so weird that I accidentally clicked on this video when I was feeling very sad about an exam that I didn't pass. Somehow, this video made me overthink this whole situation and I feel less sad. I think that is the advantage of social media. It allows beautiful messages to spread and helps to empower people when they need it Thank you for this amazing message 😭❤️

This is absolutely amazing! I closed my eyes and I could imagine everything you said. I told a story like this to a friend of mine who was at the bottom of this so called mountain. I told him to keep moving forward and that even though he was only at the foot of this mountain, he'll get there eventually. I'm very happy to hear that we share the same thought on this matter and it's great that you share this idea with the world. Keep on doing this kind of work it's amazing and inspiring. Stay Happy.
