i did this climb for the first time the other day , took me 28 mins to the top . a lot steeper then i thought it would be . but i was amazed at how many inexperienced people were climbing it with crap running shoes! going back down …. eeeck

Is the summit track still closed off or is the information on the government website out of date?

35-45min up, depending on how awesome you are, and about 25min down.
