MOUNT PULAG HIKE PHILIPPINES | DIY TRIP VIA AMBANGEG TRAIL | FIRST TIME HIKING EXPERIENCE GONE WRONG
MOUNT PULAG - located in Bokod Kabayan Benguet is the highest peak in Luzon and third highest mountain in the Philippines. I live in the northern part of Luzon so I planned to hike Mount Pulag during my vacation.
HOW TO HIKE Mount Pulag - DIY TRIP
✅ We drove 1.5 - 2 hours from Baguio City to Bokod, Kabayan Benguet.
✅Seek a medical certificate stating that you are Fit and Healthy to hike Mt. Pulag, you can get medical certificate from any doctor before heading to Bokod, Kabayan. If you don't have any, there's a medical practitioner in the area where you can secure a medical certificate. You have to pay ofcourse.
✅After getting medical certificate, go to the DENR office in Bokod then submit your medical certificate, log- in to their record book with your personal details. Pay DENR fee at the cashier, then you'll get oriented by the DENR before proceeding to the RANGER STATION. The orientation takes atleast one hour.
✅After DENR Orientation, next you have to go to BOKOD BABALAK RANGER STATION. Atleast 30 minute drive from DENR Bokod.
✅One you arrived, pay environmental fee at the ranger station, pay a GUIDE it's mandatory. One guide for a group, you can also pay for a "porter" (separately) to carry your heavy camping bag for you if you can't carry all the way to CAMP 2. I paid a porter as I don't want to carry my camping bag for 3 hours hiking all the way to CAMP 2.
*NOTE
AMBANGEG BABALAK TRAIL is the easiest trail to go up to Mount Pulag, we choose this trail as I go with beginners. You can only camp at the Ranger Station or Camp 2 for this Trail. So I choose to camp at CAMP 2 for sunset and hike to the summit for sunrise. This is the routine/activity done by people and organizers daily. But we are not lucky with the weather that time.

Hi there, hindi naman po, okay lang nman yung way namin papunta doon. Ang matarik na part ay yung pag punta na ng RANGER STATION may sobrang tarik doon minsan nabibitin ang sasakyan
