MOUNT HOOD is a surprising mountain in OREGON! Our first stop at Mount Hood was at Trillium Lake which might be one of the most scenic places to take a kayak ride. Next the most beautiful morning hike was to Tamanawas Falls. Hope this helps with planning your next trip to Mount Hood National Forest.
Trillium Lake is circled by the 2 miles long Trail. The trail begins and ends at the Trillium Lake dam.T he lake is popular for fishing, camping, Kayaking, paddling. Little Trillium Lake, with Mount Hood has an incredible backdrop, is one of the more popular day-use and camping destinations in the Mt. Hood National Forest.
Towering over northern Oregon and within eyesight of the streets of portland, Mount Hood stands at 11,240 feet and is the highest mountain in the state.
Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood in Oregon offers one of the most exciting and unique high-alpine mountain experiences in North America.Timberline Lodge ski area is the ski and snowboarding area of Timberline Lodge. Mount Hood Meadows is one of the largest ski resorts in Oregon and the largest ski resort on Mount Hood.
Little Zigzag Falls Trail is a 0.8 mile round trip; very scenic waterfall found minutes off of the route of the old Mount Hood Scenic Byway near Government Camp.
Multnomah Falls is the most visited natural recreation site in the Pacific Northwest. It has 2 miles steep hiking trail upto to the top of the falls. the total height of the falls is 620 ft.The Vista House, is a museum at Crown Point, was built in 1917 on one of the most beautiful scenic points on the Historic Columbia River Highway. and was built as a rest stop observatory for travelers.
Latourell Falls is the closest of the major Columbia River Gorge waterfalls to Portland, and it's also one of the most photogenic.
