This March 2023, I was on my way back from EBC and met your guide in a tea house. We'd stopped there for lunch and he was sitting right across my table. I introduced myself and told him about your video and also told him how we ended up singing "Resham Firiri" throughout our trekking. The guide was so humble and I took a selfie with him before leaving...

You brought it all back to life for me and for that I am grateful. Take care and safe journeys.

I've suddenly been watching a lot of great mountain climbing videos on youtube and most have been tragedies on Everest peaks and K2 so this was a welcome change up. I trekked through the Annapurna circuit in 1997, up and down and up and down 5 days, definitely was done after 5 days due to foot blisters... definitely a workout physically and mentally, definitely the most amazing views of mountains and the initial actual plane ride for me into Katmandu was scary but so cool to see these beautiful peaks peaking up beyond the clouds in a plane. Trekking was more than enough for me at the lower Annapurna levels. i personally would never climb great heights in the snow...I respect Mother Nature too much and in fact fear her greatly ever since almost dying the first afternoon of our trek when a wall of a sudden hail storm pounced upon us literally out of nowhere. The hail was somewhere between the size of marbles and a golf ball, we were bleeding and getting almost concussed...still not sure how we made it to that chicken shack for shelter. not a great way to start a five day trek. Thanks for showing us that people can see those same mountains and have a real adventure without super extremes. Never underestimate the power of a sudden turn in weather.

Thank you so much for this beautiful video! I watch a lot of these, because I hiked this trail myself in 1991 and most of the video's are so rushed and short. Love it too how enthousiastic and positive you are! In 1991 we took a bus from Kathmandu to Jiri and started to walk there. We had a book from Lonely Planet about the trail and we only got lost two times. It was not so common back then to use a guide or a porter. All the people we met on the trail were walking by themselves. It was not so busy too, we met approximately 20 other hikers in those weeks. There was no electricity in the villages, only candlelight, except in Namche - which was weird too, and the power broke several times in one evening. But, most important: the views, the people and the food are still the same! I loved the Dahl Bat Tarkaari and the Tibetan bread with eggs. I carried a walkman on which I could also record something and one night in a lodge we sang with a Nepalese family, recorded it and played it back, that was such a party! I still have this recording, where the children sing this song: Resham Firiri, so very nice to hear your guide sing that! Thanks so much!!

Your vlog is great for those who are preparing for the trip, and for those who will only make the journey vicariously. I've been toying with the idea of doing the EBC trek for years, a bit afraid of the alt sickness, went horse trekking on the Tibetan Plateau 20+ years ago & were above 5000m for some time, then camped. It was fabulous except from the excruciating headache that kept me up all night, thought I was dying! 😂Luckily, it was mostly gone the next day & the guides baked us fresh bread on the campfire for breakfast! The best bread I've ever tasted! Guides are amazing!

Many thanks for sharing your experience with such honest clarity, attention to detail and great storytelling. Congratulations on the editing and soundtrack - not easy on a 2h video! I will be trekking to EBC in 2 weeks and your documentary was probably the best I've seen on YT "information-wise". Heard you plan to climb the mountain next time... good luck!

This was wonderful to watch. I’m 69 years old and pretty much disabled. I enjoy watching things that I know I will never do. I’ve watched several of the base hikes but yours is the best. You’re just so happy and thankful and positive. I will subscribe today. Would like to see more of your videos. Thank you

Talk about content creation. A KZreadr reaching a base camp on Mr. Everest. To view this from an everyday person perspective is next level. Never knew the beginning of the trek is through all those nice villages. Usually Mt. Everest documentary’s, the climbers are already beginning on a snowy start. We always see the top of a finished climb but never the early beginnings through the entrance and the villages. Nice.🎉

Must just affect people differently. Back to watching more of your vlogs, binge watching like Netflix lol so good well done

Thank you so much for taking us along this track. Truly inspired to do this. I am not a climber, but I walked the Camino de Santiago in 4 weeks. It was an incredible experience. And climbed the Zugspitze on a spontaneous decision during a day trip with only sneekers on. It has been a while. Hence, it was inspiring. It's perfect. Thank you!! 🙋🏽‍♀️

Firstly, I want to express gratitude for sharing your journey with the KZread world….The resources and tools available today truly allow people like me to venture beyond the northern Arizona desert. by just clicking play Having resided in South Lake Tahoe for several years, I've cherished its natural beauty. trails and trek that will for ever live on….but your documentary history of this incredible place on the other side of the world surpasses anything I've ever encountered. Your genuine encounters along this trek and your reverence for the sacred grounds, the people, mountains, and your own well-being, were palpable. It prompted me to consider embarking on a similar adventure, especially as I approach my 65th birthday in a few weeks. Your embodiment of the spirit of Namaste is truly commendable. Thank you for dedicating the time to edit and document your journey, providing a rare experience few have had the privilege to encounter.

I LOVE travelling and I've always dreamed about doing this famous trek to Everest Base Camp...but due to health issues, I know that it will not be possible for me. Watching your detailed video was almost like being there myself. You did an awesome job filming and capturing this journey (the flights, the trek, the guides, the accommodations, the meals, the experience, etc....)...it was (almost) like being there, without being there! Kudos, you are living the dream!

Amazing documentary, beautiful photography and great editing, right amount of comments and background music (which can be so annoying when there's too much of it), and these two guys seem to be such nice people, so personable, not at all self-centred or narcissistic (unlike some vloggers/youtubers can be unfortunately). So there's Jordan (with his endearing enthusiasm about everything, including cakes (!) and I love how he responds to animals and uses the word "cute" a lot!), but who is the other guy? Jordan's brother? They look a bit alike - he has a very quiet but very pleasant presence too. I have subscribed, I hope I did it the right way - I'm 70 years old and hate technology! Look forward to watching another of Jordan's docos!

Some people get in their own way and "ham it up" which makes a video unwatchable IMO, but you just take us along and let us see your adventure unfold. To start with I have to have to admit that its by far one of the most engaging and informative coverage of the EBC out of many i have tried my luck with. Jordan, you have nailed it Bro! As my team and I are preparing for the track Apr'24 Mid, your coverage has given us tons of in-depth details. We have also engaged Alpine Rumbles team, going by your experience and recommendations. I haven't been able to figure out your month/date of travel to connect the dots with my planned date of Mid April and map the various aspects like weather, for my schedule. Please suggest your dates of travel. Any special notes if you wanted to share for my schedule (from any aspect) would be more that worthy. My scheduled date is 18-30 Apr'24.🤝
