I just came from his Hogsmeade make and Nerdforge's Diagon Alley book nook
Starting this video: [cries because of the music box Shire theme] Middle of the video: [Sings along to every word of the movie remix] End of the video: ... o.o oh shit I'm speechless. This is insane beautiful work! The things used for some textures would've never come to mind before.
This looks gorgeous! And the illusion of fire: 👌 and those tiny figures.. 😮
1 dislike?! What blockheaded fool-of-a-Took would dislike this??? This is amazing! Nice work, my dude.

Professional clickers (usually working for a click farm) will throw around a few dislikes onto videos that haven't paid for their services to balance out all the likes they click.

Amazing! Would love to see you make The Shire or Rivendale!!
I started off today watching you create "The Hobbit Hole"...These have become increasingly addictive to watch. You are AMAZING my friend! How ingenious! I wish I had your talent (not to mention, the tools. LOL).

Damn, those are some skills. What a awesome book nook.
Awesome. I would love this to complete The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings book and video display that sits in the Livingroom that has the Argonath statue bookends with Gollum and Minas Tirith on each side. This would be perfect to complete the look. I loved the music, all the LotR subtly in the background. I kept saying..."That sounds familiar." then it hit me. That was great. Thank you.
THIS IS AMAZING! Awesome skills and thanks for documenting it so well!
Amazing work. The music in this was especially enjoyable!
Beautiful piece of work. Bravo.

Excellent attention to detail! I've always been into wood working and carving but now I'm afraid you birthed a new habit.

you should try making a world of warcraft one! they have ton of beautiful places in the game for you to take inspiration from. i would try but i dont have money or space to do one so intricate. living vicariously through you though lol
Beautifully detailed! What is the green foam? Ive seen it used a lot by crafters ❤️
Such an amazing attention to detail and skill you have.. your work is incredible... how much in average does it cost you to make these?
i love it! a combination of two of my favorite things: LOTR and diorama making.
Is there somewhere that we can go to see the finished piece because the video bit of the reveal was too short! So Awesome! Love it!

Amazing!!!!!!! :O
Amazing work! Did you 3d print the Mount Doom logo?
Subscribed so fast. Materials list plz!
That looks fantastic! What is the white material you used for the wall? It looks like the same thing you used for snow in your previous nook and I imagine it would be quite useful to have.

Sculptamold! Really awesome stuff
This is amazing! Can you list the supplies you used? Mainly the putty stuff, please. Ps. Nerdist just shouted you out
@TheProppingBlock
4 жыл бұрын
Thank you! The putty stuff is called sculptamold, I mainly used that and xps foam. Cheap fairy lights, epoxy resin, some grocery bags, a ton of paint, that's about it!
What's the music playing? Is it available online?
This looks awesome! Since I have no experience in building such stuff, but would like to try it, do you think this is possible for a beginner? If so, how much did you spend for the material you used?
@TheProppingBlock
4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yeah this is only the second one of these I made so it's definitely possible! Some familiarity with the materials definitely helps though! Material cost is hard to say since I had some stuff on hand already, it wasn't too much though.
@Arterexius

Foam board like the stuff used in the video, is usually not that expensive and neither are the wood sheets. The putty tend to be a bit more expensive, but it's always worth it. Considering he lacquered it, I'd say the paint used is acrylic (Acrylic paint isn't water resistant, but it dries very fast) and the tools are pretty cheap too. Same for the lacquer. Epoxy tends to be rather expensive too, although that depends on where in the world you live. Here in Denmark it's almost impossible to even buy as a private individual, without dishing out ca. $260 or more
This is incredible! May I ask what the blue foam is? Since its such an important part of making this, and I'd like to try myself?

I saw you already answered this in the comment! Never mind thank you!
Love this as well as your Harry Potter one. Probably even more! I would like to make this for someone. Where did you get the 3d print files for the characters? I have a 3d printer, I just cannot find the files. P.S. I made the Harry Potter one and added a few other items. I would love to show you mine!
In-feckin-credible
what 3d printer did you use?
Bad-ass
Hey! Just sent you a DM on your instagram, hope to hear back from you soon! Great work, looks amazing!
