Pretty good tips, but for brand new players, I think following the main story early on is a bad idea, getting declared on by everyone on the map is kind of hard to deal with if you have no experience

I thought I mentioned to be a vassal for that, my bad if I cut that part I originally had 27 tips, cut it down to 10 and put some of the others into and “advanced” tips that will be coming out over the weekend. If you are a vassal its no biggy the wars calm down quite quickly even on bannerlord difficulty but its good catch.I will pin your comment so people can see it 😊 I personally love farming the caravans and raider groups they are a great source of loot and funds and once your +100 T5 troops they are not much trouble either.

Great tips, would appreciate a few of those on tatics as well, I usually delegate to my troops as they do better than me. The only that I saw pretty much the other way was about the main quest, which he argued about putting you on a time because of the conspiracy.

I am doing an Aserai Only play through on my other channel Knightly Plays and I am just getting to some juicy wars so tactics videos for the Aserai are incoming. Tactics will change depending on if you are using a specific cultures troops or if you are picking the best from all. Is there a particular culture you are interested in or just general tips? Re the main quest in hindsight that should have probably been in the advanced guide that’s on me 😊

@@KnightlyGuides-yy8xl Appreciate man, I'll search for it although I'm not that into cavalry, I think it is trauma from the first, because I would demolish field battles and get melted on sieges. On my army, the half is 'the best', battanian archers + imperial legionaries, but I have a lot of batannian infantry, some khuzait and aserai archers as well, 20% or less cavalry but not sure if it is worth to have little cavalry or just having more archers would be better. I think a video on this style would be great, something like 5 formations/tatics not spending much time on each, just to get us noobs going.

The horse head under its name next to its tier just signifies its a cavalry unit.

New sub here, cheers for the tips. I'm pretty new to Mount and Blade, I dabbled in War Band but didn't know what I was doing lol. This time round, I struggled on Mount and blade 2 bannerlord (overwhelming lol) with being attacked every five seconds when I tried to do my own kingdom too early (Also dreadful with some of the weapon types, I can only use One Handed, Two Handed and Bows lol). My main struggles as a newbie was fund management (being profitable, when a vassal being given multiple fiefs and not being able to afford them) and movement speed (I didn't know what stat influenced it (scouting you've said thank you lol), so I used as many perks to boost movement and got as many horses as possible without triggering herding. Is there a way to maintain high movement speed? I just about manage 6-6.5 when not part of any army lol. Also keep up the guides, will check out more of your guides!

You are more than welcome! Starting your own Kingdom on your first run is brave! I would advise be a vassal first time round until you get the feel for it. Also sometimes if the rest of the clans like you and the ruler dies you could end up leading the faction you were working for! Your fiefs should never be a negative income unless they have a garrison full of tier 4-5 troops. When a castle or town is successfully taken the attacking army has a habit of filling its garrison with high end troops which you then have to foot the bill for. Take those troops and donate them to an army or someone else’s town. Keep a tier 1-3 garrison in your towns or none at all and that will bring your costs down significantly. At 6.5 the only thing outrunning you is Steppe bandits that’s almost top end movement speed. Why do you want to move faster?

@@KnightlyGuides-yy8xl Oooh that's super helpful thanks! I had no idea about potentially being made a successor that's awesome. I was losing fiefs easily when far away cause my troops were low tier but the wages ko'd me so yeah that makes sense aha. I'll do that, take the troops and fill with lower tier troops! Honestly no idea about the speed when you say it like that haha, I just like zipping across the map as fast as possible. Especially when having to dash back to defend my fiefs or towns. It also depends on the kind of avatar my character wants to be. Bandit King to have high speed to go after caravans (Which are 6-6.5 some of them oof), but yeah more for defensive actions on the map then offensive. Appreciate the reply, I feel it will help me going forward aha.

I really like your video man. I wish I had watched this when I first started playing, but I guess the only thing I will argue with is that the Vlandian Banner knights are better than the elite cataphracts! They are ruthless machines on the field. I feel like a squad can take out those much faster than a banner night. Took out at least six or seven khans guard

Also a tip here 28:10 , two faced is coming in clutch end game. I was On my way Vlandia to recruit Bannerknights. Ran across prisoners and instantly recruited surrendering Hillmans, Brigands and Highway men. I didnt realize they quickly turn into Vlandian Champions. So i decided to turn back and focus on whats at hand after getting 20 or so Brigands/highway men. No morale loss after quickly recruiting them, since my rougery is at 200+, then finding a group of looters to level them up fast! Mixed with discarded weapon experience.

So basically you need to capture a town or castle to start your new kingdom in. Honestly though you want to do a vassal run your first time. Going solo is rough everyone will declare war on you and you won't have the money to pay them all off. Become a vassal of someone else for now and build that money up. They will give you some towns if you help with their wars. I have another channel knightly plays where I am doing an Aserai play through you may find that useful. Glad you enjoying the game and ask any questions you want I'll answer what I can ☺️

Idk if it counts, but if you are going for a 2h character and want a starting 2h weapon, you can just buy 6 wood, smelt both your civilian and main weapon, and that should be enough to craft one 2h sword for personal usage in early game. Its much cheaper than buying 2h weapons, which for some reason are quite expensive

I gotta disagree with your point on the best starting troops. Early in the game, 90% of your enemies will be low tier bandits with a few being mid and less being high. Your best option are archers, preferably Fians or Crossbowmen, but any archers are suitable for the early game. You can easily handle looters double or triple your party if you have a full party of archer, command, and fight well. If you’re dealing with mountain or desert bandits, archers are a must to handle the small amount of cavalry. It’s when you begin dealing with sea raiders that you should begin to consider infantry. As for cavalry, you should only have cavalry in the early game if you’re with the Khuzaits because of the bandits they deal with. Most of the time their bandits are horse archers which are difficult to deal with when your troops are sitting ducks.
