All hail the Fungal Queendom, Masters of swarm intelligence. I'm willing to bet the roll of each cell is determined by epigenetics triggered under localized conservation of energy. Tho technically Slime Molds are not Fungi ( their not actually molds, kind of like how lemurs are not monkeys.) But are classified under fungi since they operate under the same networking patterns & they are such similar if woefully understudied organisms. These creatures truely have a certain alien grandure to their character.

Excellent!! To be frank I have a problem downstairs for the past year and a fungal invader I can’t get rid of.. this organism looks perfect. Do you think if I took about a week off work and basically stayed at home naked all the time after applying the slime mould then it would eat away everything??? I can see when there is nothing left as these pods will form but then how do I scrape off the pods and what is the best way to store them incase I come up with a new use? Or do you think I should just like.... run out into the woods at 3am and.... meatspin until the pods are all gone?? Thanks for your help

My ultimate goal in life is to genetically engineer one of these into a pet. Make it faster to the point where it can actually evade predators (gastropods, mainly), have the multicellular stage last much longer, and train it to eat a greater variety of microorganisms and even some macroorganisms (insects, hopefully), if it goes well. If CRISPR develops far enough I might also cultivate its apparent intelligence and train it to retain shapes based on sound/electromagnetic waves. Give it a way to defend itself against predators (perhaps bioelectricity since it apparently also produces that already, albeit to a MUCH lesser degree than something remotely harmful). Surely nothing could go wrong with that ]:)
