During the first Corona lockdown in Israel Motty Steinmetz did a livestream concert to support Am Yisrael. He used the opportunity to say encouraging words from the bottom of his heart. He started by talking about visiting patients in hospitals and singing for them. Then he shared about how he had spent the Leil Haseder of Pesach with his family. At the end he told a very touching story - from the Holocaust - behind his song "VeOmar BaYom Hahu".

Ohne daß ich ,,an,, mache.Haupseche konnte ich verstehen.Das Was Sie mir sagen, weiß ich nicht weiter, wie schon gesagt, bin nicht so entwickelt in der Technik. Vielleicht kommt noch. You know, dear BadBocher/RadioKJLM, I have a pretty massive collection of Motty's so-called "drek" videos on my laptop. And I love them very much and enjoy every second of them. I wish people would rush to watch that type of videos too, but reality shows that a wider audience prefers TV-quality videos, "glamourized" as I call them. Covid lockdown was werry difficult but also a little bit of fun I was actually also positive 2 years ago I think on October and November and I felt really sick. I really love how Motty is always singing and I’m wondering if all his songs are vocal since I always think that his songs are vocal that is why I just wanted to ask he’s literally an angel 😇 that’s what I always say because it’s the true all though he seems in interviews nervous it’s still cute I even think he was in this interview a bit nervous I’m not sure really good video 🫶💙🇮🇱🇮🇱

I also feel very nostalgic about the lockdown period, when we weren't allowed to walk out of the houses, bcoz there were no ppl and vehicles in the streets and the air was so clean. But it's just bcoz nobody of my close circle died bcoz of the karahnah. I got the vir us that year in the mildest form.

It's called a shtreimel, once a Hasidic Jewish man marries he begins to wear one on Shabbat and on holidays and special occasions. They're based on the general fur hats of Europe but they are made of Fox fur, in some places Jews had to wear animal tails so they decided if they had to wear that they might as well make hat look big and grand to show off their pride.
