Yes, this is a very beautiful (Sephardic) synagogue and it is also very dear to our hearts. We used to live there in Bat Yam, for several years, and prayed in this synagogue on Shabbats, holidays and during a week. The people there are very simple, hardworking, down to earth, open-hearted. Seeing Rabbi Motty there was simply surreal. I still can't believe that he came there.

Igen, ez egy nagyon szép zsinagóga, és nagyon kedves a szívünknek. Ott laktunk Bat Yamban, több évig, és ebben a zsinagógában imádkoztunk szombatonként, ünnepnapokon és egy héten keresztül. Az ottani emberek nagyon egyszerűek, szorgalmasak, földhözragadtak, nyíltszívűek. Ott látni Rabbit Mottyt egyszerűen szürreális volt. Még mindig nem hiszem el, hogy odajött.

Elősszőr is köszönöm, hogy válaszolt igazán kedves Öntől! Akkor Önnek személyes kötődése is van ehhez a szép kis zsinagógához ezt jó hallani. Megható amit a hittestvéreiről a közösség tagjairól írt. Ilyen kedves közösségben imádkozni és velük együtt lenni igazi élmény lehetett. Évekkel ezelőtt külföldön egy hasonló közösség fogadott engem nagy szeretettel a zsinagógájukban. Pedig tudták, hogy nem vagyok zsidó vallású hölgy főleg nem ortodox, de látták rajtam, hogy érdekel a Zsido kultúra és a vallás. Továbbá azt is, hogy ismerem a szokásokat ( tanulom) és, hogy próbálom betartani a micvákat. Kérdeztek én válaszoltam. Jót beszélgettünk! Úgy gondolóm másként nem is lehet és én is azon a véleményen vagyok, hogy minden betérni szándékozónak kötelezővé kellene tenni a hadseregbe eltöltött bizonyos időt. Persze egészségi állapottól függően, de igen! Mindenki lehetőségei szerint. Vállalja fel azt is, hogyha szükséges, akkor védi és szolgája választott népét és hazáját. Ez független attól, hogy épp hol él az ember Izraelben vagy egy másik országban éli a mindennapjait. Aki ezt szó nélkül eltudja fogadni és örömmel az sok mindent elmond egy emberről. Mottyval kapcsolatban csak annyit mondhatok, hogy egy Isten adta tehetség, aki önzetlen szeretettel és kedvességgel fordul minden emberhez. Legyen az felnőtt vagy gyermek. Akár jólétben élő vagy elesett sorsú vagy éppen betegségben szenvedő felnőtt gyermek-egyaránt. Sajnos személyesen nem ismerem Mottyt és még nem láttam fellépni élőben, de nézem a videóit abban ezt látom és tapasztalom. Kórházak kis betegeit is látogatja és énekel nekik. Szeretem a munkásságát a csodás hangját az egész lényét, de a hozzászólásokból úgy látom sokan szeretik és nagy a rajongó tábora. Remélem, hogy még sok zsinagógába ellátogat Motty ezzel megörvendeztetve a hittestvéreit. Mégegyszer is köszönöm a válaszát! 🕊

Thank you! That's so great seeing him smiling 🙂. By the way, he was a bit sick that day - we paid attention to that only afterwards (seeing the footage from the Brit). There are so many videos from the past 2 years with him holding tissues while singing. Makes me worry about him. I always mention him in my prayers and ask HaShem to send him health, joy, success and all the things he himself prays for. He makes so many people happy with his singing - and we want him to be the happiest person on Earth too.

@@moonlightwatcher9162 Maybe he's allergic to the pollen and in spring he has some problems. A man from my family, who has a face very similar to Motty (I was socked when I noticed that they seem very similar.We're not jews, but in Spain we were mixed with jews 500 years ago and many people has jewish names and jewish features without knowing their roots) is allergic to pollen and in spring is always with tissues and a medication. Of course, he deserve to be very happy. He makes happy people everywhere. Thanks for praying for him.

Thank you for your words🌱. I don't think "concert" is the right word to use here. It was a religious spiritual ritual, and r' Motty was like a cantor - he sang soulful prayers, opening people's hearts and preparing them for the sacred moment of Brit Milah. Most of the people there (both the men below and the women in the upper lodge) were praying and reading psalms as he sang. It's indescribable, very deep, tears are welling up right now.

And, of course, many people took cameras out to film his singing. It's just once in a lifetime - hearing him singing live. When it happens, you just want to preserve what you hear and see for the rest of your life.

Shalom, Shavua Tov and all the best to little one and his family! Sacred event - child’s first connection with the G-d! Every Motty’s concert is actually Hidbodedut, his spiritual non-stop communication with the Highest Sefirot, infinity and flight to which we occur to be involved due to Motty. And in brackets I’d like to mark, that «concert» (as an event) and «concerto» as a genre were initially strictly religious spiritual terms, without any hint of entertainment, or acting. Ritual has a script and rigid construction, the beginning and end, while philosophy imparted by Motty’s knowledge is inexhaustible, like the Well of Baal Shem Tov on Carpathian slopes.

I don't know how much that cost - my sister's husband paid. But I do know how much they paid for Motty Steinmetz's singing at their chuppah 🙂. And I can tell you for sure - Motty should have taken more. He should double his prices.

@@BadBocher I know you were joking 🙂. I remember how my sister and her future husband joked before the wedding about how much one Motty's song costs. They did a math exercise - they took the whole amount and divided it by 5-6 songs that he was going to perform. “For this amount of money, I will go and sing myself,” her husband laughed. But then he checked oud Ishay Ribo's and Ohad Moskovitz's prices and ran back to Motty. But jokes aside. Motty's singing is something out of this world. Words cannot describe the spiritual state you get into when you hear him sing in the same place where you are. I thought I knew his voice very well. I thought I knew all the aspects and peculiarities of his singing (It's been exactly a year since my spouse and I started listening to his music and researching his career). But it was a completely different experience. The moment he started singing the first song ("Avinu Malkeinu"), I personally felt like I was detaching from reality - not feeling either space or time - singing along with him quietly, and feeling every word of the prayers very deeply. I'm not exaggerating 🙂. I literally saw some people crying there. I myself started crying when he began to sing "Im Eshkachech Yerushalayim". Mmm... I better stop here. May HaShem bless you with parnasah tova, dear BadBocher, and all the other things you pray for.
