Another great informative video Paul. All the reasons I run them!
Love your videos Paul, please keep them coming.

Thx. Will do
Thanks heaps for your videos and the info on this tyre. I fitted a RallZ on my rear for a big trip and it was great, however I have found that the maxxis it desert was slightly better for off road traction and also got at least 1000km more than the Motoz rallZ.
I love my motoz tires! I am running Rallz on my 1190AdvR and.. I can't remember on the 500. I will check it once I am outside.
Another thanks Paul. Great review, especially as I’m trying to decide on my next set of tires for my WR450 which I am trying to set up for light travel, mostly in Baja. I too am a fan of Motoz tires and have had great experiences with them with the exception of their Desert HT. The rear tire ground down shockingly fast while we were riding Moab, though in a hot June on way more pavement than I liked. The explanation of cupping was very appreciated as I seem to get that problem a lot. Will try to balance front and rear brakes better on pavement.

That’s strange cause I’ve used the h/t and got decent mileage out of it, but as you say heat might have been a factor it really accelerates wear

@@rtwpaul It is still very surprising. The front is still on the bike, but it's been mostly dirt trails in North Idaho. It is quite cupped though and about due for replacement.
Love the vids... new sub..Ive ran these on a KTM690 and really liked them.. curious what air pressure you run off and on road.. And what tubes you run..And have you tried to spoon the rear on new? It's a bear to put on.
Paul, Thanks for great reviews. I posted a comment on your vid you did about these that was two years prior-These are new to me and I just bought these tires and installed on 2016 KLR 650 Could you comment on riding these on the road? Thanks again
Hey Paul, thanks for the tyre review! I am also happy to hear you will be heading towards Poland - if you would be in the Warsaw area and need anything, just please let me know. I'd be happy to help. Cheers, mate!

In a few days
How did you find the fitting process? I have been told they have an exceptionally stiff sidewall and can be difficult to get on and off the rim? Thoughts?
right tire pressure make the tire wear good or bad, not the brakes
Are you running with security bolts in both wheels?
Best tires for BDRs ever.
What is your max speed on tarmac with these?
One of the most impressive tyres I've ever ridden on was a dunlop d606

What was so impressive about it?

@jarrod1687 very good grip off-road and they do long miles on the road
Thanks Paul - really good look at tire wear in dual sport touring! Question: how much mileage do you get from a chain slider? I just did a long 5200 mile) ride around the American southwest, and had to change the slider about 1000 miles into the ride (didn't think to check it before I left) and again at the end.

Just put in my second at 40k
Thanks for vid. I absolutely HATE the D606, id rather slide around on the D605 than to vibrate and change a 606 at 800 miles. These RallZ look a hair more comfortable on pavement, Motoz makes great tires!

I ran a 606, was smooth, not that grippy offroad though
Hi Paul. I have used the same tire as you for several years now on different bikes. I am super happy with the tire for my use, which is mainly on TET. I am now considering mounting mousse in the front tire of my bike which is a 2020 KTM 500. There is almost nothing of experience or recommendations of mousse that fits Motoz Raillz online, or KZread. My choice so far is either Michelin or Mitas Rally mousse. Do you have any thoughts on this, or experiences to share?

I think #lyndonposkitt did a video about what to use.
thanks Paul. Great bike yours! Have you ever thought about the 690/701 platform for a rtw build?
@rtwpaul
2 жыл бұрын
No, mainly because I was looking for a lighter bike that can do it all
how do these compare to the D606 / MT21 combo? I just got my first dualsport CRF300L , I ditched the stock tires and I love this combo so far. D606 was stiff as hell though to put on
@rtwpaul

I think better grip and longer life for sure.
Have you ridden Dunlop d606? If so How would you compare these tires?
@rtwpaul
2 жыл бұрын
I had the 606 on a few WRR’s I owned I thought it was an ok tire with reasonable life and grip, but nothing like this, tbh
that 640 adventure? if so then holy shit that must be nightmare, i have that pos bike i cant imagine riding that thing longer than 1hour ;
I wanna buy a 450 exc 2017. You have so many kilometers 😱how many Times you changed piston ? Any big issues ?
@ogasi1798
Жыл бұрын
they are bullet proof - did you get one yet? been riding ktm for years and years, never had an issue
Would you say these have as much traction off road as Dunlop D606?
@rtwpaul
Жыл бұрын
Way more
Do they track good on loose or thick gravel roads? Or do they feel like your riding on marbles?
@rtwpaul

The rear does, the front not so much
How would this tire compare to the Motoz Mountain Hybrid?
@rtwpaul
2 жыл бұрын
I would say slightly less grip in similar situations but longer lasting
Are they the same as the tractionator rallz?...or jus rallz
@rtwpaul
2 жыл бұрын
Same
How loud are they on the road? D606 have a crazy werrrrr.
@rtwpaul
2 жыл бұрын
Knobbiest are always loud on pavement but these to me, don’t have excessive noise.
Can the RallZ be safely mounted in reverse to counter the cupping¿
@rtwpaul
6 ай бұрын
It’s a directional tire, but you might squeeze a little life out at the end if you needed to. Less front brake on pavement reduces cupping and front wear dramatically.
Tubes or Tubliss?
@rtwpaul
2 жыл бұрын
UHD tubes
Hi Paul, just for a record, the enduro range from motoz is also street legal, however the mileage is not going to be close to 6kkm, they are more aggressive than Rallz
@rtwpaul
2 жыл бұрын
True, I pick these for a great mix of longevity and grip, so they suit how/ where I ride
What would you say your road to dirt ratio was on this set?
@MotoSaunter
2 жыл бұрын
He mentioned it. Around 50% road, 50% dirt.
@rtwpaul
2 жыл бұрын
As I said in the video about 50/50
Looks like they have lots of life left? Why change them?

Yeah. Let us know if you need anything around. I’m also local. Any advice or support you need, please ask.
Definitely had 6000 miles out of a set of them..... The front's were definitely cupped as hell.
