I never quite got over the coincidence of the Gillette Fusion razor (released in 2006) having 5 blades in front and one blade on the back, where the Ford Fusion (MY2006) has 5 chrome blade-like slats on the front grilles.. and one chrome blade-like slat on the back on the trunk. Really missed an easy advertising opportunity there, not throwing in a razor with each car.

My Granddaddy got a brand new Fusion in 2006. It was a great car!!!!! He's also a retired Relief Worker from Ford Motor Company.

I just bought a 2007 3.0 SEL... for you guys in the US no big deal, but here in Europe they are really rare! :)

I like how they said standard with a 2.3l 4 cylinder, but they screwed up and showed a picture of the V6.

One of the best cars Ford ever made. They last a long time. Drove great.

My 09 V6 is still going. Looks and drives great. 240,000 miles so far.

I loved my new 2006 all black SEL!

i think instead of this being a new car they just shouldve just released this in 2006 as the new ford taurus. and the new ford taurus that was released in 2010 shouldve been the new crown victoria

True.. or they could’ve just brought the Ford Falcon to the US and made that the next Gen Crown Vic and a fancier version the next Gen Lincoln Town Car. I don’t get why Ford US always change the names every other Generation when other Country have had the same name for Decades like the Mondeo & Falcon

Ford Fusion is nice and great. He sold in Brazil from 2005-2018

A foster cousin of mine brought one of these brand new in 06 bright red paint and it was very nice black leather sun roof and a spoiler i was like 8 but still i could appreciate the quality it had for the time.

@@aayonce4 they’re known to last forever I have a 06 sel v6 fusion sitting at 222k running great I’ve heard another forum they can last up to 450k

@@yunga8305 ayy we both got the same the v6 and sel version. Mine isn’t at the 200k yet almost there just 20k miles to go. Only thing it’s been sitting in the parking lot for 2 weeks because of the danm spindle broke.

Also they didn't make it clear that the Manual option was only available for the 2.3l 4 banger. You were forced to have an automatic with the v6.

rusting? must be a eastern thing bc here in cali my 2006 has no rust. I will replace the transmission lines just to be safe though.

@mrmaturitydelinquent So you decided to avoid buying one of the most reliable cars in its class to buying a car brand that's known for having problems congrats. I can tell you right now that was a huge mistake I used to own a few dodge cars and they have nothing but problems and ford has become one of the most reliable car brands.
