    @@carsandchronos wow, you're dumb, they definitely were quicker in the 80s than in the 70s, an easy google search will show u that, so yes it actually is a given, also you trying to compare cars from 40-50 years ago to the cars now is fucking stupid cars are evolving much faster than they were in the 70s,80s etc.

    People who purchase a Rolls-Royce Ghost are not the same as those who purchase a Phantom. The Phantom is more of a rider's car. The Ghost though is a driver's car, and is aimed at buyers who don't hire a chauffeur and drive themselves.

  • @slabsides1
    @slabsides112 жыл бұрын

    I love the Ghost. I'll take a wht/wht with the long wheel base. The Rolls Royce is a car you CAN'T appreciate without actually riding in one. The whisper quiet engine and butter soft leather. And they are built like a tank.

    @Moparornocar74 Yea I know there are a few exceptions. That being one of them, another for instance is the V12 biturbo in the Mercedes SL65 and S65 AMG's puts out 604HP and 738ft-lb. But generally speaking, diesels almost always have the torque advantage. You also have to remember that these cars are $200k+. You could easily get the same figures from a Cummins or Duramax for less than $30k and some tuning.

    I purchased a 2011 Ghost a few weeks ago. It has suffered the bulk of its depreciation now and as such represents a fabulous car from the world's greatest car manufacturer for the same price as a new Mercedes. Factor in the cliff-face depreciation the new Mercedes will now go through in the next five years and suddenly the Rolls seems a bargain.

  • @cheez1012
    @cheez1012 Жыл бұрын

    I personally expect more regarding design for this high of a price, they barely updated the exterior in 10 years... It's just so bland and boring, even a Toyota Camry has more style with its body lines and curves. I don't care if it's iconic or not, it still looks very unappealing.

  • @rars0n
    @rars0n4 жыл бұрын

    The front end of this car is rather ugly. I kind of like the huge chrome grille, it's unique, but it doesn't quite fit with the rest of the design, elements of which like the headlights and... whatever that is beneath them look awkward. In fact, the headlights combined with the grill and the opening beneath all of them serve to make the car look like a big face with vacant eyes and an idiotic grin. The rear of the car also looks very generic, almost like a Lincoln. Although I feel that way about a lot of modern ultra-luxury cars. The Phantom, while not a perfect design, looks a lot better than the Ghost. At least the Ghost has some really great performance. Although, that thing looks downright weird going through the slalom and the avoidance steering makes the car look very wobbly. I dunno, it's not like these are bad cars or anything, but I feel like this car is particularly forgettable.
